  1. Bear Creek is owned by the Southern Management. "Southern Management Corporation is the largest privately owned residential property management company in the Mid-Atlantic region. With more than 70 apartment home communities and some 25,000 apartment homes, we own communities and office centers throughout the Baltimore-Washington region. Pride of ownership is reflected in the many long-term relationships we enjoy with residents, commercial tenants, and team members. " The Killington 1/2 off pass was only good til 12/15 and is good after 3/31/07. That other NY mountain is Greek Peak. Present your BC season pass at the ticket window to receive 25% off daily lift tickets. Offer good for one daily lift ticket per season pass per day.
  2. I was thinking about that idea today (the combined season pass). I know Vermont has the all-for-1 pass, however all the resorts that are listed in it are ASC Ski Resorts. Has there been serious thought/discussion of something like this from the PA resorts?
  3. volkl unlimited ac1 .... they were my first set of skis, i skied 43 times last season on them for the first time. i completely grew out of them last year skill-wise. i'm lookin' at possibily pickin' up a pair of stockli skis in a few months
  4. uhhhhh.... do you watch any of the cams???? they blew tuesday and wednesday night.
  5. MARCH 3-4 AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY (ACS) - VERTICAL CHALLENGE Modeled after the ACS Relay For Life, teams & individuals will raise money for the ACS and compete in a 24 hour ski-a-thon. http://www.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=180645
  6. blowing snow again tonight ... check the cam from a quick look at the cam... quite a bit of snow action on the cascade park nothing on black bear park one gun at the top of lower kodiak some action (not able to see much) on upper black bear i'm not sure why they don't turn on more guns since nothing is running in black bear park
  7. Accuweather's long-term forecast for Bear Creek in low's for that day and my emoticon... Tonight - Low of 27 deg Thursday - Low of 30 deg Friday - Low of 37 deg Saturday - Low of 36 deg Sunday - Low of 32 deg Monday (X-mas) - Low of 34deg Tuesday - Low of 32 deg Wednesday - Low of 23 deg Thursday - Low of 26 deg Friday - Low of 19 deg Saturday - Low of 16 deg Sunday - Low of 17 deg Monday (New Years) - Low of 18 deg Tuesday - Low of 18 deg even though the last few days are alteast a week out, i'm going to believe them anyway to make me happy.
  8. yep. I know. It's a former CART/CCWS/Champ Car chassis manufacter. Orginally owned by Adrian Reynard, then went bankrupt after some project he was trying to do and I believe Derrick Walker bought the equipment for the chassis for a cheaper secondary chassis. It's one of my favorite names and logos. I got a hat from one of the Reynard workers mailed to me a few years ago, they don't even sell that stuff. I also got the fox sticker on my helment on the back. I use to be really into CART/F1, but the politics of Open Wheel racing (CART/CCWS/C^RT/Champ Car/BPCCWSPBF vs. the IRL/Pre-1996 CART Wannabees) finally dragged my interest close to zero.
  9. buying my tix for both days tomorrow once i get paid. jan 5th and march 2nd. the march 2nd will be awesome, doing that then driving up for the 24 hour event at Greek Peak. lookin' at 38 hours of skiing in 3 days (14 at JFBB + 24 at GP) ... should be a very tiring, but awesome time.

    Thanks Bear

what? they have been blowing whenever possible ... have you been lookin' at the weather forecasts? i've been a little bummed about the conditions at bear creek, but there is nothing they can do about it. if it's above 32 (pending pending relative humidity), they can't make snow. simple as that. ...unless you want to pay for artificial snow to get trucked in
  11. yea, i saw the blowing of snow from the cam last night.. but from the looks of the webcam there is nothing new.
  12. how is greek peak doing? I remember about 3-4 years ago they were looking at gettin' new lifts and asking everyone if they wanted fast lifts with crowded runs or slow lifts with empty runs... anything come of that?
  13. I noticed lower kodiak is open, is black bear open to get to it?
  14. I'm going up Friday after my finals are done (1pm). I'll be there regardless of anything, as long as there is snow and no rocks.
  15. just to clarify one thing on my previous post. I was wearing a helmet, before that I was always a little on the fence for wearing one. but that incident solidified my view on wearing one.
  16. I'm not happy about not getting it at all, because I knew the discount was available and specially stopped at BC before I left for Vermont, but I'm not going to let this ruin my season. I got bigger things to worry about. After my 2nd run, I was skiing on the right hand side of Lower Chute (I believe) and didn't see the little valley on the right hand side 'til it was too late and crashed. A toboggan ride to the bottom via the NSP's and 6 hours in the ER with CAT scans and x-rays I got nothin' broken and no concussion. But have limited movement in my right arm and I'm happy I can walk again. But I'm getting better already. btw, I got a medical voucher to go back anytime ... so atleast something went right for me that day. btw, I heavily recommend the idea of wearing a helmet. Mary - If you want to know anymore of the details of when I was there, time, and I don't remember who the person was who I bought the ticket from but I remember it was a older gentleman. I think I still have the ticket stub from the lift ticket.
  17. i was up at killington this weekend and showed them my off-peak pass and they said that they never heard of that and killington doesn't offer any discounts on other season passes. was the guy just mis-informed or do we really have a discount on killington passes?
  18. this season I got a off-peak pass for $165, me and a bunch of my friends all got them. we got them in september.
