  1. How was it? Did the quads close ever? Looking at the webcam now it appears they are closed I havent seen a soul unless they closed the Sullivan and are running the Bailey? If they closed early what time? I hope they closed at 4 or 5............ that would mean for some fresh lines tomorrow morning if they got grooming done early

You must not live near by it's been dumping all day. Camelback got at least 12" today I'm betting 15" with a few more tonight.
  3. I will be there bright and early tomorrow! I couldn't risk the quad closure today and went to Blue for the best powder day of my life!
  4. There is forceasted 56 mph gusts for Camelback tomorrow, this will close the quads for sure until they get an hour or two without a gust. If you go expect to be riding the Bailey. I will be at Blue where supposedly they keep the high speeds running during Tornados even!

    Nice snow

haha I was going to also but my goal is to beat AtomicSkier in the total days skied count and he doesn't even know it yet. Conditions made it shockingly worth it, I didn't realize how warm it was today.

    Nice snow

The packed spring snow at the camel is epic right now

    Doing great!

Yes good job Will... That pic is creepy........
  8. They do it just to make you mad, go elsewhere on weekends place gets to crowded as it is
  9. About .5" in Stroudsburg and still falling steady. I'm sure the snow started a bit earlier in Tannersville. I'd expect 4-5 fresh in the morning to track up while ticket buyers are waiting in anticipation Time for a safety meeting to aide my attempt in falling asleep and ready myself for the morning
  10. Just noticed that the snow has started falling now in Stroudsburg!

    Stokey Stoke!

It's gonna be a surprise dump no one knows for sure I think it will be hugeums! Conditions today were epic given the perfect 34 degrees and humidity from the storm coming not a lick of ice anywhere can't wait for tomorrow!
  12. That's what I figured after I seen what was on the other side Great job this year Will, it's been an awesome season so far and things just keep getting better.

stoke for the bump bump I can't wait! The storm is going to track a bit more north and cover us with 2ft! I can feel it!
  14. CB will leave the front 4 and maybe some more ungroomed if a snowstorm is coming At least 2 of the front 4 have been ungroomed almost all season and just conditioned w/ man made when temperatures permitted. But anyways on topic, of course go we're getting a decent snowfall which is becoming a rare thing in the Poconos it seems the past few years. Honestly though if your looking for powder Saturday I think you might be better off going to JFBB than anywhere because of their open boundaries. They can't groom in the trees & there will sure be plenty of untracked first thing in the morning.
  15. So I was excited today to see that they built a progressive jump line on Turkey Trot again. Good job!!! Unfortunately in the 10 seconds I had to decide wtf is this in front of me after the 2nd jump I decided to hit it like a jump and landed a weak estimate I would say 18ft+ to total flatness and oooch did that hurt the ankles. I know I should have scoped it out before I hit it especially since there was no paint on it signifying it is not a lip but man is that dangerous. Total rider error not looking before you leap my fault. Remember to practice SMART STYLE folks Is that supposed to be a monster roller right there or is it an unfinished jump?

If it's significantly more I will but I doubt it would be more than an inch or less difference How is blue typically on a weekend storm day? Does the snow hold off the majority of the crowds an extra hour or so in travel time?

    Stokey Stoke!

MMMm lookin pretty good so far. I hope that 6-12 ends up covering the whole state by Friday
  18. I have no qualms about the nile being changed to a blue. It's an easy trail but the dip at the end is steep and it has rollers and what not, it's a reasonable rateing change. Bailey and Sullivan's on the other hand is a joke of a change. I didn't notice a new entrance other than if your coming down from a steep you can get into it from the top. That doesn't help much for the little guys just wanting to feel what sliding a feature is like to enter from the top since they likely would not be riding steeps. If there is another opening other than the steeps that lets them in from the top thats great I'm glad I juts haven't noticed. As far as I can remember that turn gets rutted out no matter what it's inevitable it's just so sharp but yes traffic may have increased. I don't ride on weekends because I'm fortunate enough to be able to make it up weekday afternoons. Maybe to solve this problem when its super busy on the weekends they can check passes from the lift and block that entrance. On weekdays when traffic is not an issue allow access from the top.

Accuweather is currently saying 8-12" Friday night for Tannersville....... probably just one of those screw up reports since it's not reporting the same for Stroudsburg but......................
  20. Is that the wifey Robert2?
  21. On a positive note. Thank you for allowing access to the park from the top so you can ride it from a top to bottom run, major improvement IMO. Good job actually adding some reasonably progressive features to the progression park but seriously look at what you did. The entrance is below the first 2 features. There's another option for an entrance right at the bottom of King Tut use that instead so people enter from the top and not the middle.
  22. Nu uh, I don't buy it. Atomic Skier is right noobs will always shoot for "diamond trails" just to say they did it. Ever search a mountain on youtube? There's more videos of noobs "conquering" diamonds then park video or anything else. Weekend warriors love to be able to go back home and say ya we skied black diamonds all weekend we're so crazy and good. Any way you slice it or dice it, those trails are obviously not black and make a mockery of the trail rating system therefore it's a marketing scheme to claim more expert terrain. If it was true that they aren't hung up on trail count why not eliminate those trails and just label them as part of the Asp & Rocket. That would better fit with your plan to attempt to keep trail map looking beginners away, but that would make for 2 less trails on the map never going to happen my friend because they are hung up on marketed trail counts/variety. They even count the Tubing Park as the 35th trail now on their new map lol....
