  1. All I can say is bear creeks management blows, from HR to anything, they dont have their act together and most likely never will. After working there 3 years I am 99% sure I will not be returning this coming year because of all the bullshit that the average person has no idea about.
  2. anyone see how nice black bear and kodiak look right now for that snowmobile race? they should def throw some rails on that and have a hike park!
  3. i see bear stock piling snow at the top of cascade i would assume for tough mudder but how do they expect to have enough snow for this snowmobile race on kodiak if there not piling it there too?
  4. so bear will be closing this sunday what a bummer...guess ill only have one more day of riding
  5. nah im not selling them on stub hub they rape you on selling fees. 15% so thats a bunch of money so im sticking to friends and craigslist. Kyle the prices and sections very so just email me and ill send you my spread sheet.
  6. I have a bunch of tickets I am looking to sell for this up coming season. Email me at k2rider2690@yahoo.com if you are interested and I can send you a spread sheet of my available games!
  7. Im a snowboard instructor and saying this as a freestyle rider not an instructor you are way better off taking one just for the simple fact that they know the correct way to do it and it will make your time in the park more enjoyable. You will learn things first rather than learning from falling. I would recommend taking one!
  8. yeh but the last snow we got when it was only a few inches there was no need to groom that because earlier in the year when we got the same amount they didnt have time to groom luckily and the slopes were fine and the most fun ive had all year
  9. what is up with bear grooming every time we get snow? Its not that often so let everyone enjoy it dont groom every run!
  10. its not like the speed bumps make me slow down in a truck haha they only affect cars...and i second that i hate when they make you park at the top when there are plenty of open spots at the bottom. i know there just doing there job but they should be watching those things.
  11. if bear creek is short on snow in some areas like tom said why are they not making snow? not to mention to be able to start to actually build stuff like tom says? i understand it is cold constantly lately but who knows two weeks from now could be in the upper 40s and start melting...its happened before
  12. thanks for reposting the exact message i missed it the first time hahah
  13. aka what i said in my very first post and then people start blowing shit up and say im hating. i love bear thats why i was giving criticism in the begining
  14. you dont know my skill level so i dont know where you get these comments having anything to do with that.
  15. i dont get why all you assholes take what i say as suggestions and blow them out of proportion. no one here can deny that they want a good park. ok so think about how can you get to that point. close the trail and make snow. then close the other and make snow on that. by the time you know it you have to awesome parks. and for the park building out west, obviously they use the natural snow but you retard there is no way they dont make snow for it. i know for a fact that in Breckenridge they keep freeway terrain park closed and blow the shit out of it. they make the superpipe and huge as booters almost all of man made snow. so there is no assuming there so you are the only one looking like an idiot trying to argue something you dont know. and im not the only one here replying saying the same shit, so your one of the very few people that do not agree with me
  16. @jibfuck if i remember correctly i said out west not opening the park until it has enough snow, aka they make their own snow just like we do in little old macungie. its just how they go about opening it not opening to say we have all the parks open but with nothing in them. they dont built their 20 foot mounts of snow with natural snow you retard
  17. who are these kids? who the hell are you? the point is that you dont need a shit load of snow to have "flow". cascade for example, either you hit the rails or you have to basicly skip everything to just hit the jump, noooo flow. move rails up farther or something so you can hit them then the jump. second off if they would do snowmaking differently in the parks things would be a lot different. out west and at bigger mountains they dont open their parks for the sake of opening them with a few features, they blow the shit out of them and then open them. so i should say this cuz i know there will be one doucher that will say oh were not a big mountain...who gives a shit that doesnt matter at all. its all about opening with the best park and the way you go about it can either take weeks and weeks or maybe less than a week with the weather we have had. not to mention it saves time and money not having to pay park crew to dig the shit out everyday and when they want to rebuild. im not trying to get into an argument with anyone i was trying to just make a point so that maybe in the future things can happen differently with better results.
  18. with this weather we have had they should have taken a different approach to snowmaking in the terrain parks. If they would have just kept cascade closed for maybe an extra week and blew the shit out of it they would have a mid season park in there already. but bear just wants to be able to say they opened with all their trails. Then when that park is done close off black bear and blow the shit out of that. By this time both parks would be fully up and running with a mid season park. Not his boring park now. And if i do say so myself every rail is exactly the same, either flat or a little slope down, MIX IT UP! For the weather we have had and the amount of snow making that could have been happening im really disapointed in the parks. If we had shitty weather i would be quite pleased but not with the temps we have had
  19. well for future contests it should be noted that filmers do not need a lift ticket because i sure as hell would not pay 40 bucks to just walk up the hill and film. there should be another release form that they can sign that gives them permission to walk up the hill
  20. blues park is actually good this year because their fired the circus builder and hired Andy from bear creek, who worked June mountain last year. Hes damn good so the park should be good this year.
  21. if your signing paper work for entering the filming contest then that paper work should cover you walking up if someone were to say anything to you. Besides if you dont have a board what can they really say hah
  22. yeh but with an employee discount its pretty reasonable
  23. ill be there right for 9 working and riding...snowboard instructor with green electric goggles
  24. yeh at a shop i dont see this really as a market because they can just let it all fall to the ground...but in a personal basement or where ever people wax their boards it saves the added hassle of cleaning up the wax and having it fall all over
  25. So i wax my own boards in my basement like im sure most of you do. I have always used my scraper but i get wax all over even when i am careful. Then i use my vacuum to suck up the wax. So ive put together this design where it is all in one. As you are scraping it sucks the wax right up, no mess at all. If this were to be marketed would anyone here think of buying it or is this a stupid idea that no one would really use? Let me know your constructive thoughts and criticisms! Below are just some quick sketches of the idea
