Just found this picture of everyone favorite ski racer Look at that outside ski...(you can see it a bit better in the full size pic) look how much he is flexing it
-
Thats the thing, it WASN'T icey....that is why it is so starnge. Most times in ice they don't run the gondola for that reason, and in the wind they don't run it because the cabins might hit the lift towers. But they got everything worked out

I have looked up at what is attached, and I don't think the chairs woudl slide even if they didn't fully attact to the cable again, atleast not slide fast. Also in that case, I would be worried about the chair downhill (that gets run into) more than being on the chair that slides. I have never heard of a case where a chair would come off the cable 1/2 way up HOWEVER, up at killington last year I was getting on a gondola leaving the station when another one came in and never slowed down, it slammed into the one infrount of that, and there was a nice little chain reaction...good for about 20 minute inspection. And its not even like there was ice on the cable or anything, it was nice weather.

You can still tell her that "Skidude says you should win"
-
Hmm it has been the law in VT for a while, but ehh no cops around I don't care if it goes down, just with me (or other people who don't care) I am just too lazy to put it down. That happens A LOT around here. It gets mad annoying, and that is the closest I have come to falling off a lift. Just say 'coming down' or something like that...Its not that hard

Yes, tell her to win
-
Hmm agreed. But hey this time, lets try to leave the 4 year olds out of it you two
-
At Belleayre they constantly yell at you to do that, but that is the only place.
-
They probably did for that one...Hence the reason that now they tell you things like wear a helmet, BUT your neck.... When I was up at Kmart this weekend...like 5 people (that I heard) fell off different lifts at different times....how bad can people be at getting on and off?
-
I think jeff (atomic skier) plans to be there
-
I just remembered...You wanted me to come early and adjust your bindings...Maybe I will take my run, then come and adjust your bindings...That way you can't get first tracks or first chair
-
3-4 trails...I wonder which ones
-
Not quite a soldering iron, tho I hear those work too.
-
To answer your question... Just look at the member list
-
Ehh its like a sodering iron...I don't *think* it is the same thing.
-
But snow here might me I get to sleep in
-
But thats blue...why would you do that to yourself
-
Hmm I hope my mom has her pass and you make too much noise in the morning for me to sleep
-
As does Ebay and some other places. A ptex gun is probably not nessisary, I assume you are only doing your stuff, and don't want to spend 100 bucks on one. My dad got this little iron thingy, its about the size of a hmmm it is about the size of a pencil earser, and heats up much warmer than a candle can, and it is much better to use, and less messy. But I am not sure where he got it. (it was about $20).
-
Hmmm Not with that peanut butter on your bases your not Least I will get first run
-
HAHA, I was honestly thinking of saying that, but then, ehh I got too lazy
-
I don't think there is early practice yet...Cause there is no rocket yet...I think they plan to start that after xmas week......But assuming Gus tells me to go take a few runs, I will be on the first chair, hopefully
-
I think that is just a disclaimer so that if you do hurt your neck they don't get sued. HOWEVER if you think about snapping your neck or w/e with a helmet on...Then most likely you were going fast, and/or hit something, so you would be screwed without a helmet on too. Most of the time, I would say (as woudl Skimom I think) that you are much better off with a helmet on.
