How are you people going to follow part 284 secontion 243.52.9.628 of the skiers responsibility code (obey all posted warnings, etc) if you do not read the posted warnings?
-
See when I see one, I think of it more as a closed or caution sign, not a experts only sign (as CB has the rectangle closed signs). Either way out west they will mark a whole cliff off with like 2 of those signs with a hand written 'cliff ahead' on them...Or something along those lines. Its just a good idea to slow down enough to see those things. And people on the meadows as SL gates? Ahh no, not steep enough But seriously, if I am coming from Tut onto meadows, I am usually on the far right side of Tut, and before I go left I look all around for any n00bs that may try to take me out (or that just are out of control and coudl be a hazard)

Hmm Raceway has a tape like that to block of nastar...And well it doesn't work....Maybe some lollypops would work better...Then again its always fun to get up on someones tails who is trying to ski a slalom that is set up for training and scream at them

Jeff, I am sorry, but something or other in that just struck a nerve or umm 3. First off, you have been to CB many times, and most of the time (if not all of the time) it is feneced, and or lollypopped off (asp/hump to meadows). Second, it is probably closed off so you don't go flying threw there, (coming from a dimond, and merging into a blue and a green at the same time can be a bad mix) so if you were going slow enough for the merging of the trails (which is somewhere or other on the resposiblity code) you would have been going slow enough to see the signs, and not cut threw. At any resort I would slow down around lollypops, as they are usually put in the snow for some reason (usually a good reason). As with anything once you know how it works, then you can find ways around it...As in once you know how to make the rangers happy enough, you know when to do a tuck run, and rip around, and when to make some turns. Really its just if there is a ranger around, come out of a tuck make a turn or 2 (so they know you are in control) and then drop back into the tuck, or keep making turns, and they leave you (or atleast me) alone. Ok I am done posting on this topic for now (and atleast for atleast 2 minutes) or else I will get high blood pressure from all your crap And uhh one last thing, stop your blue whoring in CB's forum

Haha, I was just saying that if the ski partol waits until 11 pm to start taking down closed signs it is going to be like 1130 before they can go home...Being they are mostly all voulenteers, I would assume they want to get out of there as soon as they can....So if they started taking down fences at 10:05 then they could be out of the by 1030ish. I think the groomers roll out around 1115/1130 most nights.

Great pics...Kinda sucks, but really look cool

Ok so tomorrow night they will turn all the lifts off at 930, cept for the coolmore lift...That will slove all the problems. **what I am trying to say here is after 10 don't give CB any excuses to get mad at you, which will in the future make them want to close up earlier** Anyway I think we have beat this topic to death already...
-
I agree that CB could use bigger markers and stuff to mark off closed trails...But at 1015 I can see if the ski partrol just is yanking the stuff right from when they stop letting people on the lifts, just so they are not there too late pulling signs off the trails so they can be groomed. Cb usually keeps letting you make laps until about 10:10 or so, but by 1015, you should really be off the hill. Anyway....

Ptex candels are messy, and hardish to use...atleast hardish to use with out getting it all over everything else around. Also they burn like nothing else if it drips on you....But it is better than skiing with a core shot in your base...
-
Well doesn't the fence need to come down after they close (after 10pm) anyway so they can run a groomer around? Also i can't tell what is so hard to see if there are closed signs up in the pipe...Usually I can see the orange lollypop signs from the quad...But maybe on the weekdays they only put like 2 signs up, insted of about 10.

Hmm sharpen your edges and you can get to the freeshies

Larger flakes mean wetter snow (so most of the time before snow changes over to rain, or right after it changes from rain. Out in Utah...All the flakes are nice and dry and small....So small is good
-
People get this real nasty look from me if they run over my skis....Haven't ever had to go to warning number 2 yet
-
I would think you would burn your base before you would melt the epoxy. So I wouldn't worry too much about it, just keep the iron moving.
-
Haha you guys are too much
-
Jeeze they should just slow down a bit....You know if they hit someone, they would get sued into the ground. Also I have an older leedom helmet (2.5 years old) and it whistles on the lift, but not too bad on the trails.
-
Yes hopefully they are. I didn't see dave on tv... but I did see them running a shot of the bottom of the dimonds after the news

Probably saving the snow on Nile for this weekend....Which is fine by me...(I won't be up there until then)

Limited snowmaking Slow lifts Poor night skiing. You can look at it either way...Its either a bad mountain, or a great mountain. If you get there a day after a snow storm, where it is not freezing it will be great. If you are there in the rain sitting on the lift for 12 minutes each run, hitting thin/bare spots...It won't be a great day.

I had that problem with an edge after a certain someone (who will remain nameless) was on my slalom skis and hit a rock. The edge started to delaminate....I brought it to the shop and they fixed it up for me. Not sure what that has to do with your question, but it may be the best to just bring it to a shop and see if they can do it for you.

king 'ut Nile Not sure what else...probably batrian (lower pharow) and little cheeser (cut back from nile) that way they only have to run one quad

Due to some circumstances, I have to relist these...Anyway pass on the word to anyone who might want them. Same deal as before... 164 never mounted or skied, waxed up and ready to go. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=7125417884
