Maybe I'll ski Castles next year. That would be rad. Then I'll be cool just like you and Atomic Jeff.
-
Thanks for the update. Good on Camelback, they are making the right choice to preserve all that perder pack. Maybe if Blue closes early for the season we'll be able to ski at Camelback for free with our Blue Pass and PA @ridge will join us for some runs down Marjories Delight

@AtomicSkierLo Que Dijo!

Oh wao, that's like soooo funny. I would never make Jerry of the Day. I ski faster than 90% or probably 95% of people at Okemo.
-
QFT. Atomic Jeff corrected me and says the pronunciation is Kes-lee. He should change his user name to KästleSkier.
-
RTMs are the most popular ski at Okemo. @GrilledSteezeSandwich can you believe they are not locked up?
-
Did you ever run Juggernaut? Do you miss it? If they reopened it would you go to Killington to ski that run?
-
No thanks, even if it was open I've heard horror stories. I was bitching about Bear Paw or whatever the green is and it only had a few short flat sections.

Fantastic day. Started with actual winter conditions, ended with spring slush. Skied everything I wanted to a few times. First time doing Superstar, was rad; and some trails I didn't do back when I was a noob. Skied 9-3:40 with about 30 minutes or so of cumulative breaks. I'm pretty toast now, time for SUJOPO
-
A must do run is Great Eastern which is one of the longest trails in the northeast, or the longest. @Johnny Law will know. My favorite root is to take K1 Gondola to Bear Traax to Launch Pad and then Great Eastern all the way down to the other gondola. It's easy to take a wrong turn and end up somewhere you didn't intend to go. The fun of Killington

Yeah I stopped at my car for 4 minutes for a banana, Gatorade and granola bar. Plus I stripped a layer. I love the convenience of the car being close to the lift, but I got stuck on some flat trails like stupid Bear Cub twice which was labor intensive so it's still not 100 percent effort free
-
My data is limited so I'll have to post them when I find wifi again. There were some rad glades off the Ramshead lift which were sickbird
-
I once skied Killington on a weekend. I lasted about 30 minutes before I sold my ticket to a random person and went home
-
Good point. It will be nice and toasty tomorrow I think so I guess I won't wear my hoodie. I hate wasting time going back to the car to drop off an article of clothing.
-
@mute1080 I don't know what Friday will be like but the Bear Mountain Lodge seems to be the most convenient place to park. Im extremely lazy when it comes to logistics and it was really easy. I got my lift ticket from the dispenser (if you need to do that) and sat in my car until 8:45. 2 minute walk to the lift and there were about 10 people in line. If you want a really nice groomer hit Skyeburst first thing. It felt like a western groomer. Now it's a bit choppy
-
I always wear the same things so I don't have to think. It's low 30s. There is actual snow out here!! Like not machine made, granular, corn, sugar, ice, or snirt. It's rad
-
Conditions are really really good. Much better than Okemo yesterday. Get up here!!!
-
Some gapers in a Nissan from Massachusetts couldn't get up the snow covered road to Bear Mountain Lodge. I guess they forgot their snow chains at home. Good thing I got a Subaru so I breezed right past them with the utmost of ease.
-
Dunno, Skye peak express it is. I'm not doing Outer Limits and if I recall the Bear lift is just good for connecting to other areas unless you can ski bumps like Indigo
-
This was a super easy request to fulfill. Present view below. Already connected to the free wifi so all I had to do is lift my Jitterbug a bit
-
This is grate. Parked at the Bear Mountain Lodge and it looks like there is 3 inches of fresh. Actually sorta feels like winter today. Wao! Thanks to Atomic Skiing Jeff for giving me his Ikon discount so I saved a lot and only paid $150. Ikon is so generous with their discounts

Dang, you're living it up. I figured you're a Motel 6 or Super 8 kinda guy. The breakfast at the Comfort Inn at Rutland is pretty good, the cereal was fresh Frosted Flakes and the milk was nice and cold.
-
Decided to eat at 99 Restaurants. So far it's grate, nice classy place. Ordered a salad and some hot wings. Since it's tasty maybe I'll leave a big tip just like on your Jackson Hole thread
-
That would be rad. I saw less than an inch. That's way more perder than I got anywhere this season.
-
Correct. The Comfort Inn is a diamond in the rough. If you don't look at the filthy AC unit and the cob webs in the stairwell it's not so bad. I didn't want to eat my Dominos in my room because of the smell which would make me lose my appetite, so I found a small sitting area which had a fresh aroma from fake flowers. There's a large school group here every day which is hella annoying, fortunately I beat them to breakfast or I would have gone to a diner for some ham and eggs
