This might be windhams last year on ikon, so I would check that place out.
I just saw this. looks like every weekend reservation for Ikon is taken at Windham Jan/Feb. So, yeah, i would agree windham is leaving the chat.

Ok Debbie
listen up Karen........Im going for a little reverse psychology here. Plus i would rather be surprised than disappointed.
I have already deployed my shovels, but i think holding off on getting the snowblower out of the shed, moved to the garage, and started up, in hopes that will increase our chances for more snow.

It is the first potential snow storm in two years so they need to get the clicks 😂
This, and im just not enthused by the data from the bouy.

I think seeing double digits out of this storm is unlikely.

According to somebody on blues Facebook comments, there was somebody today under the lift cleaning up trash. Remember we all have a lot of power and you can complain and not be a Karen.
Hopefully it stays that way. I think PASR's should lead by example.

Blue is saying up to 9” lol
its been upgraded. for "stoke"
We're keeping a close eye on natural snow Mother Nature is expected to drop off this weekend. Some reports are showing up to 11 inches!

posting for "stoke" only. This guy doesnt show up until there is something to watch, so.......
I think he skis at Blue, might even be like part time staff.

haven't looked into it much since learning about it, but i was under the impression its supposed to start late afternoon, until around opening the next day. i guess they could groom at 9pm but who knows how much precip would have fallen by then.
Thats the timing i got as well, but like we know, this is really far out.
Honestly, the benefit of this snow is that it should really help in the base building/trail opening thing. we really need this snow for that reason. Some nice soft turns will be nice, but 10,000 people on 3 trails and it will be bombed out by the second run.

Anybody remember when i said it was gonna snow, and we would be fighting for some powder turns on 3 trails? looks like that dream could come true.

I’m good with 13.5”..the local newspaper already has a story about this. I like having snowstorms to look forward to watching. Seems like this could be a nowcasting event.
FYI, this was the map from what ever model gave Blue the most snow, but yeah, its good to see snow back in the forecast and should make for some interesting "stoke" for this week.

They need to do something about the trash, or it will just get worse. Not sure how they would handle that as a sign thats says “no drinking alcohol on the lifts” will fire up the Karens for sure.
Kinda gotta handle the problem without admitting there is a problem.- 1

Got a questionnaire e-mail today about my visit. Gonna really rail them on the trash to see if it actually does anything positive.
Trash, snowmobiles driving all over the slopes, and uphill travel will be on my survey.

Yeah, so when Burma is the best run in the morning, its probably not gonna be a great day.
first run vista was super nice, most of midway was ok. Main was bad from the get go. Upper part of coming soon was nice, the headwall was trenched bad. Really bad. Paradise was all about just finding a patch of snow to get to the lift.
then what was good went to sugar. With the weather we have been dealt, just have to go with low expectations lately. We need quite a refreshment so that just those 3 slopes will ski well again.- 4

Is it? Let’s say the skillz or even greek peak had an edgeable winter surface of some sort and blue had sugar, pack the car because I’m driving far from the sugar Sugar is very common to blue. I didn’t ski it too often, or if at all in hundreds of days logged at JFBB. @JFskiDan would you agree with that assessment? Ivan never skied it at elk…maybe a day or 2 at Shawnee or CB but sugar is kind of a blue mountain special
i dont remember sugar at JF, but it cant be just a Blue Mt thing, so i would say it definitely happens at Blue more than anywhere i have skied. But maybe its the traffic that Blue sees that makes it so prevalent.

That cold has been moving back for weeks for now. That was supposed to be here 3 days ago. My confidence is kinda low at this point. And i try not to get excited about things that might not come true. I hope it comes, but like i said, not holding my breath. lets see how this looks in 3 days....lol

So F’n fed up with Groundhog Day skiing!!
Deep sugar piles everywhere where making things challenging for everyone, especially beginners as we watched many of them face-planting all over Coming Soon.
Right side of Midway had a short little bump run for some fun, but it wasn’t really worth having to run the beginner gauntlet on Vista and the choke at the bottom of Main. So many close calls…
Yeah, im super surprised i have been able to pretty much ski the same trail over and over again for an hour or so. imagine what it will be like when we have like 5-6 trails open? holy fuck.
of course i will be there tomorrow though. i thought about skipping it, but im heading home, so its on my way. if i ski 2 runs and split, i wont feel bad about it at all.

kinda thought today was gonna be real bad. it wasnt too bad. but Coming Soon was the star of the show, and thats kinda it. lower main was bombed out by a little after 9. i think they will make it into monday with similar conditions and similar skeet spots. Who knows what next week will bring.

They sprayed snow on Raisins for like 24 hrs in marginal temps, right before the last deluge of rain. They were able to make a shockingly small amount of snow.
