  1. I saw the 2005s :P :P :P :P :P And if you don't belive me they looked exactly like the ones some people were skiing on last night (on OLN) White with black lettering and some red.

yea...i see the hermanator on dem all the time.....all red atomics are 100x cooler :P

  2. You have a Welcome Center? <_<

It was a risk getting the 171, but everyone else was doing it and I followed like a sheep. But it was the right choice. I was working on just throwing them out as far from the gates as possible today and just cruising and don't even think about how short they are. In the short size, they have some of the properties of the SL ski, but none of the drawbacks. They make my 9.20's feel like heavy dinosaurs. When I was on a steep diamond and really bending the ski, the rebound when I released the arc almost knocks you over; not a ski to be lazy on.

Even though your 9.20's have a 16m radius, did you feel the 171cm's turned just as quickly? I'd like to see how the 2005 GS:11 skis....

  3. Jeff I WAS BELOW you...Now if you look at the skiers w/e code it said that I had the right of way :P

we were dead even, and i was making my beautiful gs turns until BOOM, that skidude character is barreling down on me....your lucky i didnt do to you as i did to that girl at blue!

  4. Ok I skipped like 1/2 the thread but if we are racing FEEL FREE TO TELL ME...I was doing umm whats it called making turns or something like that...Coaches are always bitching at me to do that

haha adam......your so lucky i happened to glance to my right and see you flying right at me at 100mph, thats why i screamed soo freaking load....lol that was funny though :P

  5. Blue was terrific. The snow was super considering how warm it got. I rode the lift with one of Blue's USSA coaches and he told me how the snowmakers/groomers specifically blow and groom Razor's Edge all season into hardpack for the race team to practice. I bet the snowmakers and groomers at CB don't even f*ing know there's a CAT race team.

The race was like kind of like my fourth day of practice. I learned in my first run in last week's race to try to make good turns rather than simply ski fast. It's like not trying to over-swing at a baseball in spring training; slow your swing down and make contact and after a while the ball will seem to fly off the bat. Ski racing is the same thing. It had been so long since I raced anything but NASTAR that I blew out of too many turns last week.

The 11.21's rock. Period. They cannot be maxed-out.

    BTW, where are you?

im home now...i was skiing alta for the day. How are the 171cm GS:11's compared to your 180cm 9.20s?

  6. woooo yea!  im back, from some of thee best skiing ever. sooo much fresh powder, it was snowing most of the time we were there!  it was too cold and my batteries didnt work (same thing happened to thinksnow) but my friend did get some pictures, so ill have him either join here, or he'll send them to me.  this is gunna suck skiing in pennsylvania again

    where'd you go again?

    Alta....1 day trip :P

  7. Thanks. I'll come to CB after my mountain closes. Starting monday, the weekday Montage schedule will be 4pm-10pm. That's the first bad sign...

hey, how were your 11.21s? All my friends were tellin me how amazing blue's conditions were yesterday. Most of them were at camelback friday night i believe, and when asked to compare, they stated, you simply cant. :P

howd you place in your race?

  8. woooo yea! im back, from some of thee best skiing ever. sooo much fresh powder, it was snowing most of the time we were there! it was too cold and my batteries didnt work (same thing happened to thinksnow) but my friend did get some pictures, so ill have him either join here, or he'll send them to me. this is gunna suck skiing in pennsylvania again

  9. Hey, anybody that breaks or dislocates something and is still skiing and trying to shake it off, earns repect from me. And I don't remember waiting for him...

That said, I saw this pic and really did think of one particular person on this board:

    aThinkSnow.jpg

hahahaha! yea, when he fell, he was up again in a second, but he knew right away that his armed was screwed up, but he continued skiing, taking it like a man! :woot

  10. i was very impressed with gregs skiing ability (cept all the chunks he spits up from the backs of his skiis! haha, its all good). jeff was very good as well (even though he got pissed when i beat him cause i bombed the hump! lol, :jk )

was good? how about IS good!:lol: haha i made several mistakes on monday which i dont usually do, but it was the result of sking 3 long days of aggressive skiing, my lets were shot. And plus, as greg saw, as soon as i got my stix tuned during dinner, i was turning much better again ;) ahhh gotta love da fresh tune!

  11. couldnt agree with you more....thats why the management of this board (me, greg and jiba) will all have sp's to blue next year, though i've had one for quiet some time now. Good thing is that this board wont be limited to CB next year....just something to watch our for :P;)

  12. Well, yesterday had to have been the best trip I have ever had to Camelback. It didn't hurt that I took off of school to do it either for the 8-12 session. The conditions were unbelievable. It was nice powder, but extremely fast (especially Cliffhanger). Rhodo was sick...jumps are better with big lips. Besides it being warm and having no lift lines, this was one sick trip. Get off your lazy ass and head up, because this is the best time to do it.

awesome, me, jibbo, thinksnow, and skidude will be there friday

  13. Problem with rams head it it is like 10 trails just like raceway with slow signs all around and nothing else.  Tho can can get some nice speed going and lay a few nice arcs down when there  are no "gates" We have mostly always parked by the K1.

i've parked at K1/Killington main lodge, and its always been busy....maybe ill try rams head

  14. The Bear Mountain lot and lodge are usually a good bet and you get to finish your day on Outer Limits with everybody watching.

hah i was thinkin about parking there, but only 2 diamonds over that way, and rams head seems much more convient, though probaly much more crowded

  15. I'll also be up in VT that long weekend.  Mixing it up between K, Stratton and P-Okemo-N.

    haha good one! :P

yea, what lodges in your opinion are the best to use at each mtn? Im always at a loss as i seem to pick the wrong dam lodge! Ill be at Killington friday and okemo saturday

  16. ijuyst got home from okemo today and there terrain parks are hug compared to cb

also there jumps in the beginer terrain park are almost bett than cbs lastly the rails in the little kid terrain park are bigger than cbs

and they have this one rail that is a step down every 5 feet and is so long and they have a table that is reeally sick and they have some huge hits

ill be at killington the 5th, and okemo the 6th, so ill see how those are....thanks for the info though

thank god ill be out at Alta this saturday :P
