Wise guy
i wasn't joking but yes, Blue on sunday wasnt icy, it just had that icy/sugary snow. I call it sugga.
-
did you not see it pooring rain on friday? that could be it?
Nah, couldn't be. Rain is water. When it falls it would go between the snow flakes and drain off, leaving the snow on top
well actually if it was man made snow, it would! Fact is, that man made snow holds up BETTER then natural snow with rain, because the shape of man made snow allows water to easilly flow between, naturally draining out, versus it puddling on top with natural snow learn something new everyday dont ya?

Any 3/4/5's on this board heading to the hallowed ground next weekend for the two-day combined challenge? I'll bring a cow bell if you have an older sister...

When blue says they blow snow they have like 2 guns on. And they make hardly any snow. Or atleast none that I saw today. Yeah 183GS ski in icy bumps is a b*tch.
they dont blow during the day, but the bumps werent THAT icy, and i could tell they blew on them last night....

This afternoon (2nd run) it was tighter than before. The morning wasn't a bad corse...Just me skiing like crap.
they reset the course for the afternoon? it didnt seem like it?

Well blue got rain.. It was pretty nice for racing if you have sharp edges. Anyway there bump run sucked monkey balls. (mind out of gutter) and yeah. Anyway back to mind in the gutter
at least they HAVE a bump run. I found it difficult w/ my GS:9's, let alone w/ a 183cm GS ski underfoot. I switched with my friend, who has 160cm 1080's, and they were easy as hell. They just blew snow on them last night, werent that bad

ha, looks interesting... i noticed blue built up that jump finally. say it's a 30ft gap 8^) can't wait to hit that junk when I get home
that terrain park has sooo many features (not only jumps, but side hits, rollers, etc)....its awesome

I took a quick glance at the "unofficial" leaderboard in the lodge at blue. Senor Skidude's total was a 1:49 i believe.....alot of 1:49's and alot in the 1:50's.....i didnt get a chance to look it over that much, so ill let him put it in perspective. But at least it wasnt as cold as last race.
hey skidude, i heard some racers talking about the top section or razors, i heard that was a little tight

Actually at blue this year there were groomers on paradise ( i almost hit it rounding a turn), the groomer has this bucket with extenable arm so people could go replace the trail lights.....

Only snow at Elk all day Friday, about 4 or 5 inches.
Damn I was supposed to go to Elk today with friends, but I have other obligations. Well, at least they should be having a good time.
i think its impossible to have a bad time at elk. Every year that I have been there it has been so perfect, it was beyond perfection

I just got off the phone with him, and hes doing his edges for the ice.
You guys are sick, get ur head outa the gutter, theres only room for one and it's mine
what did you say about minds being in the gutter?

Just got in from an hour or so at Montage and had expected it to be miserable. The snow was excellent! Aside from a little mist on the goggles, it was a warm night with great spring snow.
awesome, ill be at blue on sunday, so i'll see how it is

For Wednesday night...It was pretty good. Some stuff was icy, but not bad overall. Jumps were hot, and I noticed alot of crazy side stuff on the trails. Lift lines weren't bad. Overall, real fun day, got many runs in.
Awesome, school got canceled today, so I didn't have a chance to get up, i was sorta pissed, if only it was cold, this storm would've dumped a shitload of snow on us!

i cant wait to hear from skidude what the conditions are like for his race tomorrow

do you still wanna ski with me, after all, you were with me when you injured it!
-
Lol sorry, I've been a bit busy with work and stuff, but I'll be on a bit more now. Anyway, about the arm, I have a doc appt in 2 weeks and she'll tell me what is up... I should be out of the sling by then and starting physical therapy afterwards, but I figure skiing is the best therapy, so I hope to be skiing 2 weeks from tonight
dont rush it greg

sorry but the blue one about jumping off the sky scrapper is terrible, and ZZO plays it constantly!!!!!! i hate it so much. when i was working over break i averaged it out. i heard it on average 10 times a day and i worked from 8-5. i hate that thing with a passion!
haha whats worse, cb's or blues?
-
Also The ads say that there are over 1400 snowguns, one of the press releases says there is over 1500 and if you add them all up you get 1493. It looks like someone needs to learn to do math.
haha, yea i heard that one...have you guys ever heard the blue one with the guy jumping off the skyscraper?
-
Less is my guess. Last weekend was like the perfect newbie weekend. Even the CATs ran away from everyone (practiced from 8-1 and then went in, insted of 830 to 1130 and 1230 to 3
yea last weekend was really bad!

Im hoping crowds return to how they were before the MLK weekend snow. Last two weekends have been so insane, its not even funny. Any predicitions on this weekends attendance? more cause of the snow were getting tomorrow, or less because of the rain thats predicted to follow and all the warm weather/rain we've had this week?

this sugga keeps the crowds away...crowds were light at blue, ESEPCIALLY at the upper mtn lifts all day on sunday (bottom of main st), lines were non exsistant. Quad lines were pretty short most of the time
