  1. Last night was crazy four or five times I saw multikid pile ups after a rail or hit, my buddy wrecked on the 30ft and kids where trying to slide it with his face still on the rail. Park crew tries but they really can't do a whole lot. If you built every booter as a death gap that would help somewhat but something has to be done before someone gets stomped on.

  2. I'm passionate about cases where hillbilly scumbags kill cops and leave little kids without their dads. There's only one side of that. Root for Bode all you want. I don't care. Bode could have diffused it, but chose to make it worse. And it sure got worse.

I'm not yelling at you, Johnny. You stepped into a thread where there's history involved between Rob and I. Either he or his lovely kids posted my phone number and had a bunch of kids from NS call my home and really upset my wife a while back. Someone on NS forwarded the message which contained his IP address. He never had the balls to apologize.

Character counts, as far as I'm concerned. Rob just doesn't have any.

Okay. I'm done with this thread. I think the horse has been beaten far too long. Enjoy rooting for the hillbilly cop killing clan, Rob! You're sure headed for lots of stuff like that in the future.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree as far as Bode is concerned, regardless the phone calls to your house is seriously weak sauce. I don't know why people take message board discussions to that level but your right, that shows a serious lack of character.

  3. Simon's run was BIG. But Tanners run was Flawless. Everything was pretty much perfect. Simon just hucked himself pretty much, but had very little style while tanners shit looked real clean.. It's good to see that it's not going in the direction of who can just throw themselves as hard as possible and look like shit, but still win.

agreed though it seems like the simon/tanner debate happens every year.

Anyone remember the first X Games with skiing pipe holy shit was it bad, its good to see the sport moving in the right direction.

Sometimes I wish Tanner finished high school, imagine if pipe makes the Olymipics and he would win....a good interview it wouldn't be (he too old thank god). Though Armada is now the fifth largest producer of twins, so he did pretty fucking good all things considered.

  4. ^ I don't know you so I won't say things that I don't know to be true but what I don't understand is why you are so angry. I didn't know all of those "facts" about the situation with Bode's cousin but I don't disagree that he may have made a bad situation worse. I wasn't there and honestly man neither were you, so you can read every god damn thing that was written and still not know what actually went on.

Even in death penalty proceedings things are twisted and obscured and in some circumstances important details are left out for procedural reasons, all I'm trying to say is to take the broader view on this. Being passionate is a positive quality but it can certainly cloud ones judgment.

  5. I don't think I have ever said anything bad about Bear but I really don't like the two lower (not the anti-jump) hits in Black Bear, the ramps are way to quick with the vert. You get so much flex on the front of the skis because it goes from flat to 60 degrees in two feet of travel.

I don't know what happened in previous years the booters and tables were really good, even now the ones in cascade are good and the half pipe hit was $$$$. I don't know why they were built like that but mellow it out the vert come on too fast.

  6. Bode made his cousin shoot the cop. I'm sure it's all Bode's fault! He probably had a beer with his cousin at some point. OR maybe it's the guns fault. The wax and the base on Bode's ski is why he wins.............it has nothing to do with his talent. And that fence ride to place second was nothing out of the ordinary.

Ski, I'm starting to think you don't have a single rational thought. Is your helmet a little too tight or what?

Not to pile on but I have to agree with you on this, good people sometimes have not so great family members. Ski even you would have to admit that even as a parent you never really have 100 percent control over what your kids do, this was Bode's cousin so his interaction could have been somewhat negliable.

Bode is an incredible talent, wax or no wax he still has an incredible set of abilities that very very very few others posess

  7. My friends have a house at Jay this year.....the warmer weather and rain last week really killed the off trail skiing. Word is with a few days and a little snow all should be well up north. Now for Killy I would imagine they would need at the very least an additional foot to make the trees really skiable thought the trails are probably fine.

  8. Went to Blue Knob for the 1st time today and I couldn't have been anymore disappointed. For all the hype I've heard about the great terrain they had I found it to be half-ass at best. It looks like the mountain was just randomly thrown together with no planning whatsoever. Ice patches were to be found all over the mountain, and I don't even want to get into how unbelievably SLOW the lifts were. I'm beginning to think a tow-cable would be better. No wonder why the place is never crowded, it's terrible. Terrain park consisted of 3 gap on rails that not only had no lips but also were not even planted in the snow properly. I somehow reached the one rail and when I hit it it started to come out of the snow, great work Blue Knob.

Sorry to sound so negative but I'm just trying to give my honest opinion. Blue Knob is one mountain that I will never go to again.

Sorry dude but you kind of missed the point of the place.....its like going to MRG and complaining that the place is full of moguls.

  9. When you come across East Wall to Stembogen look to your left, if it looks good rip it. The glades off Jack Rabbit are $$$ and there is a little cliff near the lift. I like the Ditch too.

I don't remember there being ropes just a closed sign, though who knows what coverage is like there right now.

  10. no offense but are you smoking rock?

    vail is sick

Perhaps that would explain the lack of cash but I didn't like Vail when compared to some of the other places in Co.

That doesn't mean it sucks monkey balls just that it isn't the place for me. Deer Valley isn't Pow Mow, some people like DV and some like Pow Mow, its a matter of personal choice and with all the mountains we have everyone can find one that fits them best.

  11. But Crested and Telluride are not day trip distance from Denver...What's wrong with Vail?? I've never skied there because I was turned off by the fact that it's such a busy place.

Apparently my reading comprehension sucks.......Vail is flat and filed with Gapers and when you add in the hassle and price (92 $) I can never understand why people flock to it. But they have East Vail, which is avy central right now and filled with noobs, but they have the back bowls which are an endless expanse of Juggernaught like flatness. 92$ ticket and a BILLION on real estate development and they cannot build a detachable quad at the bottom of Sun Down bowl?

IDK maybe I suck but there are a ton of places in CO that just plain rock and Vail doesn't, that doesn't mean that you can't have a great day their its just the odds are better somewhere else IMHO.

  12. All i can say is that before i got my lisence and could drive to springs i had to go with my school to blueknob.

I must say that blue knob is the worst mountain i have ever ridden in my life. Snowblowers are always on and they barley have what i guess you could call a park.

    Never go there

Ride at springs its the tightest mountain in the area and its relativly affordable for a season pass $300 if you buy before late july

    Post then smoke crack

  13. For your first trip, definitly do the Safari thing. Plan to go to a different resort each day out.

I would do Vail, Keystone, Winter Park, Breck, Copper, in that order of priority (must see). Then either go back to see more or do another smaller resort to complete the end of the week.

Oh! I always suggest to head out as far away from the base as fast as possible and then work your way back for lunch, -this is important - Try to take an early lunch like 11am to beat the crowds and ski or ride while every one else is at lunch. Stop about 2 pm for refueling break.

    Good luck!

    Vail ugh

No offence but Vail is just ok, Abasin, Telluride, Crested and maybe Loveland should all be on that list and then maybe I would do Vail if I was old and liked to wear pink Bogners.

  14. If they are the older p12 you can bend them, if they are the newer PX's you have to buy the larger brakes which are kinda $$$ for brakes. I know it looks like you could just bend the px's without taking apart the brake mechanism but trust me you can really F up your brakes.

Here is the tutorial for the older P's, it is for P18s but I used it a bunch of times for P12s, be carefull there is alot of stuff to break.

    http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthr...t=brake+bending

EDIT: On Second thought if you have a decent vice you may be able to bend the newer version if you heated the bend points some what. I don't know what they changed but the brakes on the PX series are far more brittle.

  15. if it does not rain I will come too!! $9.33 is not too many Rupees! I have heard that this WMMR day (what does this mean?) has much crowds - just like Chowpatty Beach in the summer.

OMG I don't know if PASR gets aliases (sp?) but this guy is awsome !!! Seriously where is the finger mustache emoticon around here ? This is clearly POTD worthy.

  16. whistler should be first on your list.

I don't know.....but if I was going just to ski I might put UT first, if you hit Whistler on rain week your vacation will suck.

GSS you have to bring a camera to JH, this place would rock with more pic TRs
