  1. Agreed. On a side note....I think its funny that the Sno threads are 90% bitching...and we get some of the best arguments going at times. Hopefully next time I start a new thread in Sno, it will be a positive one!
  2. crap. It wouldnt work out, I would need about 2 hours to get down there...and I wouldn't be able to find out until 10 when the shop opens if they are in stock. Maybe I'll call another Buckman's thats closer if there is one. EDIT: Effin' A man. 5 Buckman's shops....all exactly 2 hours from me. Thats ridiculous.
  3. im interested in the JP Walker Prospect ideally. I need to be at work by 2....so unless you can get at me early it won't matter. Id be open to another boot possibly..but I think I've decided I want thirty two. Which Buckman's do you work at?
  4. so I found a pair of 32 JP Walkers..for 140 online...30 bucks gets them here 2 day air. Id rather buy local...but I know I need an 11...and nobody around here has my size. MY question is: Does anyone know if 32's need to be molded...or will just wearing them mold them. I buy everything mostly up at ski corner...and I'd feel like a dick asking them to mold my boots I didnt buy there..but I need them now...and they don't have them. Any input?
  5. I'm with davie. We sno mtn customers need to prioritize our bitching. I also would place lights as #1. #2 I would have to bitch about ski instructors hanging out on headwalls having their little circle jerks. Then after those I would say the website. It seems that they at least have someone updating the site this year... thats a step forward from last year. I know first hand it is hard to find reliable people to do web work who dont want to be paid a zillion dollars.
  6. So....I'm going to Vermont on tuesday... and my boot ripped yesterday. I was going to get 32's but the ski corner has nothing in my size...nor does top of the slope. bear creek has some northwaves....but I don't know anything about them. Anyone have any input?
  7. the fact that i'm typing this means i didnt drink enuff. but... i just got home....open bar at tinks but 30 dollar cover...got my moneys worth. I was up the mountain today from 12-5. Conditions were decent, the only bad ice was on smoke's big headwall, other than that, things were good. good day of ridiing, bare spots covered. HAPPY NEW YEARS!! to anyone who reads this...im going to pass out now....pr when my gf's friends leave. I'll be up the the mountain tomorrow when I wake up....
  8. i'll be heading up around 11:30 for a few hours. If anyone else is up holla at me. I'll be wearing a black/white plaid foursquare jacket and black pants. I'll try to post a TR with some pics later but it depends on if I start my new years drinkin in the lodge.
  9. well that pic looked good, and hopefully, they are able to make some snow soon. I'll be up on wed morning so I'll try to take some pics. I had to wax my board today, because my base was jacked from sunday...it looked like it had a full season of riding on it. I look forward to ramps with snow on them and less rocks in the snow fuc*ing up my stuff
  10. after last weekend, today was terrible, which was part of the disappointment. The reason we are frustrated with sno is because the way they choose to open trails and make snow doesn't seem to make much sense. I realize that the weather was the main cause of the suck as* conditions today and they can't control that, but like dave said, they bought all those new fancy guns and can make alot of snow fast, they did it last year, so whats up this year? that last cold streak, combined with all the snow we go last weekend should have been enough to get more than just one more trail open. I don't know...just kind of frustrated that I bought a pass as this point..frost, boulder, and camelback have almost all their terrain open... EDIT: Hopefully Brian is right and it is just a broken pump and they are going to fix it and take advantage of cold temps to pound the mountain with snow.
  11. the park on spike does not exist yet, its just a trail. the rail garden is the same pretty much. Spike was groomed, not cord, but just kind of choppy. The snow was like glue at the top of the lifts, i was barely making it down the little incline off the lifts before I stopped, it was hard to skate around even. The snow on the trails was better, but still pretty slow. There was a huge slush puddle by the ski patrol building that you had to go through if you wanted to make it from the phoebe to the ironhorse which also sucked.
  12. Pulled into the lot at around 11:30 with my car running on 3 cylinders...which was fun. The mountain is busted. Dirty snow everywhere, rocks popping through, ice patches, bare spots. The trails that had some snow but were not open are bare now, and the last headwall on spike was 2/3 bare. Cannonball had a big dirt patch on the one headwall. Bumps knocked down and groomed out on smoke/boomer, but lightning still had some small bumps on it. Overall, a depressing 2 hours of boarding seeing the mountain in such rough shape.
  13. i'll be up with the University of Scranton on the 6,7,8
  14. oh, and i'm pretty sure I dropped my pass in the lot....anyone know how much they charge for a replacement? dammit. EDIT: SHOCKED. Sno just called and someone found my pass, turned it in, and they found my number from the pass application and called me. I guess a few honest people still ski.
  15. Got up the mountain around 10ish, lot was filling up decently. Snow was great, with some powder left on the sides. Smoke and White Lightning had some bumps, and whistler was open off the long haul. Spent most of the day down on the Northface, and rode with davieclauss for a while. Great day of riding, some of he best snow I've seen up at Sno, and they were blowing about a dozen guns on spike all day, as well as highball in the morning. I thought a heard some guns still going over by fasttrack/runaway too. Hopefully some more trails will be open soon.
  16. Yea, I got up yest. for a couple hours right at opening, but didn't get a chance to put up a TR. I hit smoke, boomer, and then cannonball, in that order, and there were a handful of tracks on each when I got there. Condtions were epic (for around here) in my opinion, but the roads were gnarly. I'll be up tomorrow around 10, for most of the day, hopefully they open some more trails tomorrow, with all the real snow AND the snow they have been blowing everywhere.
  17. I don't mean to jack this thread, but who are those guys in the matching blue coats? they ruin at least 1/3 of my runs, by crowding up on top of EVERY HEADWALL and watch each other go down, and then crowd around the bottom, not to mention they carve from trail edge to trail edge making it impossible to get past them. I don't think I ride exceptionally fast, but shit, I could walk down faster than that. I don't wanna sound like a dick, but they really were pissing my friends and I off this past weekend.
  18. i also will be up as early as I can to hopefully get down on some fresh as well. shout me out if u see me. black volcom pants/dc jacket, rollin 3 maybe 4 deep on one of the two trails.
  19. I picked up an 07 Salomon Drift 156 for this season on discount and LOVE it. It rides great. The equalizer side cut holds edge great and its pretty light and easy to maneuver. I dont ride park at all really, just started, but it is definately better than the last board I had, check it out. Good Luck Searching
  20. I'll be up around 5 or 5:30. Black Volcom pants, Black DC jacket, black helmet..haha I'm not weird or goth...it was an accident. Hit me up if you see me if you are still there. With a whopping two trails, you are bound to run into everyone there within 4 runs.
  21. The web cam showed them blowing snow last night around 2am on the bunny hill. They had a decent base last week, so I would expect decent conditions this weekend. wish I could get out tonight
  22. i'll be up sat around 5 probably and sunday most of the day. pm me if anyone wants to meet up
  23. i called them and she said they will be open friday prob. 3-9, as schif said, and sat and sun, same as last weekend.
  24. anyone hear anything? I guess I could call, but I thought I'd see if anyone responded tonight. I heard this weekend...but with that rain i dunno what they have been up to.
