Discount cards may be few and far between this season but for anyone looking at multiple days at Killington / Pico these are available...

These posts are amazingly insightful...I put shoes on this morning. Crazy.

He only likes skiing one mountain on ski trips.
-
If you're looking at Jay Peak I don't think is ever "sucks"from a snowfall perspective.

Flew out west last week (4 flights if you count layovers). Everyone is wearing a mask, people are social distanced and the planes seem clean...(can't speak for frontier). Although the airports were pretty packed. I'm 99.9% sure that I'm staying east this skison. Just not feeling up to air travel again. A trip or two up north are likely. The allure of getting in my car and driving 6 hours to my destination is much more appealing to me this season than a 12 or 13 hour travel day, dealing with lines, TSA, shuttle busses, etc.

Good to know. Thank you sir

Ski Alta and Bird at least. They're technically on the same ridge...right next to each other. You can even get a pass that let's you ski over to Alta from Bird and back. Then next year do a Solitude / Brighton trip...similar set up.
-
Skiing one mountain on a Utah trip seems wrong but if you're picking one bird is in fact the word.
-
The whole steelers thing aside... Pittsburgh is awesome.

Do you count drive throughs or do you actually need to be out of the car and doing something in that county in order for it to qualify?

Colleges are just a fucking mess.

Not terrible for summertime in AZ. All trails were closed in Lost Duchman today with the exception of the MTB trail due to wildfire smoke...so we did that. Only downside was you couldn't get into the mountains (which I did before and is amazing). Nevertheless got plenty of good views. Hit up Goldfield ghost town afterward for a tour of the gold mine and a ride on the zip line. Fun day.

Superstitions

Morning stroll through campus.
-
Well thank you sir. Free day today since we got everything we needed to get done yesterday. Debating on Grand Canyon, Sedona, Lost Dutchman (superstition mountains) or maybe going to Jerome. I'm leaning towards Sedona or GC but we'll see.

Saw so many ASU kids going to parties last night. And saw a few ongoing in the apartment complex near my hotel. There's a CVS just off campus that was filled with kids, all dressed up in their finest party attire stocking up on provisions. Overheard a few on campus too talking about where they were going. It's a problem here and these fools just don't give a shit and they're ruining it for kids who want to do that right thing. Only a matter of time before the school officially shuts down in person. This zip code (where ASU is located) has the highest numbers in Arizona. On the other hand, as we were officially checking my daughter out of her room, there was a another kid right behind us doing the exact same thing. People are leaving daily and the school is losing a shit ton of money. Shame.

Cactus are like trees around here. They're everywhere.

Hello Arizona.

Buh bye Lehigh Valley

I have this Phoenix Coyotes hat sitting in my closet that I wore when my oldest daughter was born. It's easily a few decades old. It's been collecting dust but I'll never get rid of it.

We lost my dad's uncle. Was older but healthy for the most part. I think it goes without saying at this point but this thing in no joke. Stay safe. Keep your guard up still.

Good analogy. That's how it is unfortunately. I'm taking her to the grand canyon and on a hike or two before we fly home. She needs to get the hell out of her room.
