  1. It's a gorgeous night out here. Crowds are minimal. Skiing right onto the lifts. Snow is excellent, spring mashed potatoes. Some places still have base. Others are grass. 24th may be wishful thinking at this point. Either way hella fun spring night... Even if it is a little too early. Some closings.. Other trails are cut in half. Coming soon is going fast. Enjoy it while you can

They had plenty snow Monday and the damage from this weeks weather isn't as dramatic as they play it to be.  Camelback Tues and Wednesday proved it as well as the other local hills that remained open.

Skier traffic is reduced dramatically in the weather we had and what eats the snow the absolute most is the nightly grooming of it in this state.  Simple solution, let the cats sleep a few nights groom for the money spending ticket purchasers and snow condition primadonnas for the weekend.  Keeps everyone happy.

This early of a midweek closing altogether with the abrupt Thursday decision imo just shows once they have passholders money, they know they're not getting anything else out of us so we're bottom of the barrel to keep happy.  They know they dont have any real local competition terrain wise and we'll keep paying the highest threshold they'll set that the largest percentage of us will still tolerate.

Man…you really went from blue the true this and that to blue hater. Looks like you….. turned on a Dime? (Ba dumm tiss).

    Temper your excitement on April...

I had solar eclipse skiing at whiteface booked for April 8th but have since cancelled the room. They’ve only had 77 inches of snowfall to date this season so who knows if they’ll even be open. Not mention so many other things happening around that time.

Yeah bares spots, brown spots and puddles.  Dont see a problem though, dont we all have rock boards/skis and wet mud and grass still slides if you lean back.  I see no problems.

Oh I'm sure they're legal people will love that. "yeah dont worry about the bare spots...our customers can just lean back". Hahaha.

Come on man. I get it, but come on

it would be a beautiful morning to be skiing right now..

Yep. I am annoyed that they pulled a last minute closure for today. It’s one thing to tell us in advance that they are closed mid week. It’s another to say tues and wed closed re open on Thursday…then last minute say f it we’re not gonna make money.  Close thurs too. Funny how they’re open for tubing tonight though. They must have a large tubing group booked

I don't cut my nose to spite my face.  My lone $900 makes no difference to them.

Unfortunately they probably don’t care that you’re livid either. Unless the masses rise up on social media like they did on that botched snow day then they’re gonna do their thing. It is what it is

Live chat said midweek operations is done "to preserve snow for weekends, unless snowmaking ability returns".  This is fucking horse shit!

    Isn’t camelback open?

anyone know how have thursday nights have been from a crowd standpoint?

Let me know if you go. I'm planning on it. It shouldn't be bad post rain plus the school groups are wrapping up

  11. It has to be said and this is no disrespect towards Elk mountain because I really enjoy skiing there and it's really the only other place I like around here nowadays, but blue has more base. Period. I saw more brown and thin there than here tonight... And that was before the rain.

I like that you’re getting your blue mojo back!!!!  This morning in the walkie talkies, they were saying conditions weren’t safe and see how fast things turned around…oh no…turn around..every now and then I get a little bit..

Haha. Even renewed my pass. Friday night crowds though....

Liftie was just lighting some kids up for throwing snowballs. Like in their face. Appreciate that

  13. Blown away. I wasn't expecting what's here tonight. No brown or bare spots that I've come across yet and almost spring like conditions. Slick in the middle... Loose on the sides. Razors is closed. Coming soon is fun. Glad I got tonight in

It's amazing how good man made snow can be, isn;'t it?

We skied man made snow over bumps at montage last weekend.  So edgeable and smooth...snow making has come a long way.

They held the last Winter Olympics in china on 100% madmade

edit…I’m going tonight and skipping tomorrow I think. The hourly looks bad.

Missed that one but Hale Bopp was cool

Hale Bopp was way cooler. You could actually see it and it was large. From what I remember about Haley’s is that you needed a telescope…If I remember. I was like 7 I think.
