  1. Ive had plenty of fun days at JFBB. Some of the most fun days weve had the past couple years were bluebird days where we'd hit JF for a 90 minutes then head over to BB and ride Park for a few hours. The park scene was great at BB and JF has a few fun trails both mtn withs great snowmaking. Fun days but sadly they seem to be over.

Anyways. Don't wanna hijack your thread @abe. Sounds like you made the right decision to hit Elk, glad you had a good time.

  3. Rode Friday night and Sunday morning.

Friday night sucked... After a beautiful warm day up there it froze over and was sh*t by the time I got there at 530, mixed with long lines and I bounced quickly. I can do bad conditions and no crowds, I can do good conditions and crowds.....but bad conditions and crowds.......im out.

Sunday morning was very nice. Rode from 9-11, bluebird day and fantastic conditions. Little crowded but that was to be expected.

The new Cascade build is pretty nice along with the new setup on lower blackbear. Looking forward to getting out a couple times this week.

  4. Fun, quick RAW session tonight. Phenomenal snow, no scraped off spots at all. Busier than I would have expected tbh. But, they had somebody up by the front of the lift line organizing chairs, stuffing 3 and 4 people on almost every chair up.

Did 4 solo runs before meeting up with a coworker for another 2 runs before he had to go teach a lesson. Then I headed over to the other side of the mountain for a couple more which included an open timberline. Was nice riding with my coworker for the first time and I’m sure we’ll ride together many more times.

Oh yea, Ole Sassys open…I repeat Sassys open!! Pretty sure they’re 100% open at this point and will be building Cascade Park tonight. LFG!

Place I'm at is kinda lame. $12 to park...a couple bucks for a shitty throw away toothbrush...fine. I'm not gonna get mad. But the coffee situation is complete trash and the reason I won't stay here again. They give you an in room Kuereg which is great but stashed in between 2 $5 bottles of water that they force you to open in order to make the coffee. But what set me over the edge is that they give you three k cups...1 is regular and 2 are decaf. They now full well that no one's drinking fucking decaf so you're forced to purchase more regular. WJW. 1 star review incoming. OTH Shout out to the Comfort Inn in Flagstaff which is awesome.... unlimited coffee, full breakfast, fireplace, ski lodge feel, clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly peeps.

    Skiing today?

    Forgot to mention:

-they didn’t put a sign at the valley lot entrance saying the lifts were closed lol

-mark forgot his pass and blue charged him $20 for a replacement

    Wait what??

I forgot my pass last year and was told to just rescan the barcode/qr code in my email at the kiosk. I did and it just simply spit me out a new card.

Just wrapped up an eventful morning at blue the true mountain.  Arrived to a nearly empty lot around 8.  A variety of winter weather started while i was booting up.  In the house was Matt Edge, TP4, and VTMark.

First ride up the quad ended up spending some quality time (15-20 minutes) on a stopped lift.  Some of which was spent in front of snow gun.  Whole maintenance crew was at the top manually pushing the detached chairs around the top.  Ski patrol had all trails leading to valley roped off stating that they were not running the quad or six and all traffic was being directed to doubles. So headed to lazy.  Snow was fast and carvable.  Rode double up next lap and rode lazy again.

Next ride up the double made it nearly to the top before another considerable stoppage of the lift for 15-20 minutes.  Heard at the top from lifty that someone fell off near the bottom. Rode lazy again and went out to the lot.

Was all worth it for three great runs down lazy.

  8. So today was the first time I’ve ever been to Bear for opening and they do it a little weird. They don’t allow anybody onto the snow till rope drop so the courtyard between the lodge and snow is PACKED.

PHENOMENAL conditions this morning. Perfect sparkling cord that crunched beautifully under your board ripple by ripple, carve by carve as you plunged down Cascade with not a jerry in sight. The type of snow that would make a puppy pull a freight train. (this was my poor attempt to describe conditions like @Johnny Law)

The snow held up great for the 2.5 hours we were there. Sub 3 minute lift lines for the first hour then gradually grew to 5-7 minutes. by 1030 lines were getting longer so my cousin and I went over to F lift and checked that side out for a couple runs. 22 degree but the sun was blasting so it was nice and comfortable…perfect weather.

Just messing around, can’t wait to film some actual stuff in the coming weeks.

It’s not just Hunter. It’s pretty much every epic mountain. Just check out this IG account’s stories. The traffic jams are insane and lift “lines” out of control.

These next three are JF today. The first two pics are a video that I took two screen pics of (I didn’t even capture the whole line with two pics.) then the access road to JF

Pulled into the lot at 8:45 and the hill looked great. Caught first chair at B lift and the conditions couldn't have been nicer. Smooth cord, powder on the sides. After 4 or 5 runs on Kodiak and Black Bear moved over to F chair. Grizzly was absolutely fine regardless of the line, left, center or right. Timberline and Extreme were not open, Sasquatch not open but all expected open tomorrow. The new RFID system worked great. All in all  JADIP.

Nice. I had to work but was gonna head up around 230…check the webcam and decided to pass looking at the lines.

Should be heading up first thing tomorrow morning.
