  1. 536 for that place? Come on' even you hard core blue dudes have got to admit that's just crazy.....
  2. new tactic? you mean like learning how to blow snow? Like waiting until it gets to 26 and then whaling the snow and not pushing it out right away so it has time to set and dry out? You mean like the way your supposed to?
  3. your foot shrunk by 2.5 sizes? You need to go to a doctor dude! That's impossible. could it be your boot was over-sized to begin with and then it packed in? If you really want a professional boot fitter, Billy Kaplan who runs Performance Pethordics can fit you but it's not cheap. (215) 760-8226. Tell him Finn sent you. Billy is a true professional. Not dissing the chain stores like nestors, but they are OK for the recreational skier but not if you want a professional fit for true performance. There's no comparison. He may not be right for you if your foot is still growing a lot (although, your's is mysteriously shrinking). Figure at least $150-$200 for a fitting session. not including foot beds.
  4. Cool. I usually prefer to stay no farther than walk to lifts. My place is about 250yards from the Gondi. Too close can be too noisy and loud. I go to bed early when skiing and dont' really drink much so I don't want all the noise. I hope we are fairly close. Make sure you let me known when you get your schedules set. I will post.
  5. I don't know where I'm staying. My friend is letting me stay with him so i think it fairly close but not walkable. Should be fine. its free! If you can stay slopeside that's cool. I think the Antler Inn is a nice place though, isn't it?
  6. Well, that would be great if we could make some turns. That would be very cool
  7. Right now, I think it's the 3rd week in January. Are you heading back out?
  8. I bought a 15 day pass with an option to buy 5 addl days at 19 per pass. I should get 20 days in this season.. Rich? Naah, Not rich, I buy very smartly. I paid 200 for brand new- in the wrapper PE's for $200 shipped. I bought "3 day on the snow" 07 Supershapes last season for 450 shipped Mojo90's with Mojo15 bindings for $500 and so forth. I also sold my Head 82's I used for a season and a half for $50 less than I paid. Epic has killer deals. Buy new from Dawgcatching "scott",
  9. Hey Boyzzzz! Just letting you know I bought my pass a few weeks back; except is was for Steamboat! No pass for me at the snowcone slopes this season. I know you will miss me. Seriously though, I hope everyones summer is going well and you are getting ready. I have already bought 2 pairs of skis, K2 PE's and Head 78's and a k2 Darkside board with 390 bindings for my nephew. Cheers!
  10. No Pontoons on these feet! head Mojo 90's for soft snow, rocks and trees and Supershapes for groomed. No offense guys but I will ski 15 days out there and coming back to this really sucks. I have skied some of the best pow this season. That, plus I am having knee surgery in April and need to be a bit careful. This will be my 6th surgery in like 13 years!( knee, shoulder, back, hand and elbow) Hard snow is tough on the knee joints and I need to keep it happy for the Boat; 19th-23rd. I am going next week for sure so I will make the best of it. Enjoy guys! I don't mind icy stuff, its the death cookies I hate!
  11. what' sup with the conditions, they sound like total crap! death cookies and icy patches? I was going to go Friday AM, but it sounds so shitty...
  12. No Worries, Phil will sell them just fine. I was actually looking forward to demoing them. I ski on Head SuperShapes (170) and Head 82's. The ski guy is in Washington State at Village ski. All his stuff is brand new.
  13. Alta, snowbird, yes.....OB wasatch yes......Mt Hood, OK....Whistler glacier and choice areas of BC, yes.....Apalachian trail, errr aaahhhh, Maybe not such a good idea If any one needs ski's, I have the absolute best connection- ski provider to Realskier and Epic. let me know.
  14. I'll pay a lot of money to watch you take pontoons into a chute! Pontoons were designed for only one thing, that's 2 plus feet of powder (not blown crystals), big wide open areas like Chugatch or Alyeska with NO groomed and you don't plan on making any turns tighter than 30 m. The reverse camber alone will make them unusable on any kind of groomed snow.
  15. A voice of reason and thought..... as good as Paradise is, it's just too crowded at Blue and other PA area slopes. I rip paradise early when its empty and have never been hassled. If you are a good skier and in control, I have found the patrol to be cool. It woudl be great if there were more runs but you have to work with what you have there. Hopefully, they will make the new run something along the lines of paradise. They took away sidewinder for the park which is fine but there is a real need now for something that you can criuse on. Swtichback is a fun run, but it's narrow and typically croweded with novices who are dangerous when ripping. Razors edge is still the best cruiser, Challenge is good but the grooming there is terrible. Too many novices again who crawl down the headwall and poach your lines.
  16. Blues bumps good? 100 yds of icy, rutted gullies is good? Hmm, I just got back from Steamboat skiing 1500' runs of real bumps. well-formed, soft and fun. Don't make a trip for the mortar-holes!
  17. Skied Windham on Wednesday, very few death cookies and the crews did a good job for the weather they had to deal with, by 1pm, it was skied off but decent. Unfortuantely, by Sunday Blue will be a pile of wet slop and will probably close again by Tuesday or Wednesday to protect whatever will be left of the base. This season is not looking so good! Head west boys, head west......I will be skiing Vail and Beaver Creek next week and Steamboat over Christmas, heading out to JH or UT in January, then over to demo 08's skis 3rd week in Jan. Merry Christmas to all and I sincerely hope the weather patterns change. OK, thats all the nice stuff I can stomach to write. May Santa bring the blue snow crew an instruction book for the snow guns this year!
  18. “If I catch you on that site one more time, you
  19. Although thats a great idea, it would place "Snow Cone Slopes" (AKA Blue Mountain) in a position of liability for skiers actions. This would open them to all kind of lawsuits. This would be the same as posting patrols to monitor that only skiers with certain skills could go on "blue" or "black" runs. - When you buy that pass, you take responsibility. Risk is inherent to Skiing/snowboarding.
  20. that would be exciting! Now if they can just learn how to blow snow and not snow cone granuals......... We decided to rename blue Mountain to "Snow Cone slopes". Like it? We all did.
  21. How about 2005/6 passes for this season? I am assuming you just have your year wrong?????
  22. You make a good point but won't the vast majority of users of that chair be for the park? I would think that the 6 pack may be good for you guys but I don't think it will make much of a difference for the rest of us. Is there really any practical way to access that lift from any other run other than the half-pipe run????
  23. Blue is not 100%! I was there on Sunday and conditions sucked. There are many bare patches on certain runs and a lot of "brown snow" on all of the runs. Unless we get some cold temps, I don't think we'll be skiing on St. Paddy's Day!
  24. Coming from Jersy, we take 33 to 248 to 946. This drops you out at the ski shop where the pizza place used to be. Go right and your 5 minutes away.
  25. Fischer WC Race Sc's- THE SL ski, just ask Bode.
