  4. those rails are sick, echo mtn had those set up in all different formations through the winter. they had the c things put back to back and you could step on and slide the top. cant wait to come home for xmas to ride some ice
  5. the road gap by elk has been done many many times over the years. Its all about speed and just over 30 feet.
  6. well i rode with eddie wall jr when he still lived in pa. Prolly the coolest pro out there. And he comes back every year and rides with his pops back east. His dad is a kick ass rider. He has won the master championship a few times. Also his can can do methods better than anyone i know.
  7. if you ever tell anyone i told you this stuff i will completely disacknolegde it. And yes you may have to duck some lines to get to the sweet stuff i talk about Breck. Super fun. There are "secret trails on the 2 sides of the mtn. As you look at the mtn all the way to the right there is some super fun trees to play in. on the left side there is alot more trees to play in and local have posted a few signs over that a way. be sure to start cutting back about 3/4 the way down so your not walking back to the lift. The imperial lift is for pansies. Hike! you will find gold mines of pow all over the place. Vail, oh vail, how i love you so much. how you make me wanna ride from sun up to sun down. Ok so anyway. Take the main chair from vail village up to the next chair to the top. Cant remember names right now but you cant miss them. After that take the cat trail to your left as your following that around you have 2 options when you get to the bs of the bowl you can go right or left. Both are fun both require line ducks. If you go left go pass the first trail and then duck under the ropes. You will find pow knee + deep. open trees and lots of fun. after that you will find the same cat track. go across and duck again. you will find the more pristene pow in the world back there. i have had many friends from pa ride this and be amazed!!!. Now going right when you get to the split takes some work. You will wait to the trees get dense. Then drop on it. there is no line duck needed here. These are some tight trees so please be careful. flow on through til you ge tot the cat tracks in 30 secs. then duck the next line and bear left. dont go to far left but just a lil left. This will drop you into the drop ravine which has a nice natural booter coming out of it. then follow the trail down to the lift and do over and over and over again. 2 elks. between 2 elks and the main lift theres alot of woods. Plz feel free to drop in at any time. This is how i get back to my vehicle when im out there. ITs tons of fun very steep at first and some nice scenery. As your getting close to lift 11(?) there is a natural halfpipe on the right. ITs very hard to miss since theres trail signs everywhere for it. Papa theres a lot of other trails at vail/breck/keystone to play on. I will try to post mor info b4 you go
  8. Sorry dooood, you def need alot more speed to pull a spin/cork off then a regular air.
  9. cork 3's are much harder then cork 5's. bc you have to get your feet under you alot quicker. Personally i think cork 3's look a lot hotter then corked 5's 7's. Thats my personal feeling. To do a cork three you have to start with your shoulder dropped at the lip. And you have to pop like a mo fo. The first time i did a cork 3 was at the bottom of big pocono back in teh day. Step one drop in straight. Step two as your approaching the lip start your shoulder rotation step three as your taking off the lip continue your upper body rotation and pop like a mofo step four finish your cork by 270. step five use the last 90 to spot your landing step six stop that shiz!

  13. from what ive heard the park is going to be doing very well at montage this year. Ive got 2 friends involved in it and they are stoked to see the progression icetage is willing to make. Now only if besecker would come back and have the monday night big air contests
  14. back in 99 and 00 elk had some sick jumps. Brad was the groomer and he made some super nice, tight lipped 25-30 fters on the main trail. Once brad left it all went downhill. glad to hear their coming back around again
  15. Best way to learn how to pump in a pipe is to get a skateboard and go to a local park with a pipe. Its almost the same motion on a sk8board and a snowboard and you will learn super quick.
  16. Well the snow is still in summit my buddy rolled up an hit up breck today. now for denver its just a bloody mess

  18. i have had many experiences with ranger over my 17 yrs riding at camelback. the best had to be when i landed on dave (head ranger) coming down the double diamond(which i cant remeber the name right now) on a powder. Most experiences have been very good. they do their job to the best of their ability. But ya gotta admit sometimes they just stick their nose where it doesnt belong(i.e. riders shaping the jumps bc the park crew is too stoned to understand)
  19. FYI shawnee had an amazing halfpipe from 93-95. it was located on the east side of the mtn right near the nascar course. When they moved it over twoards delaware it got screwed up. But when they first opened the park on top of delaware (c 96) they had some sick jumps
