  1. Did thensnow at Blue get slushy in the afternoon?
  2. Hey All, I'm back from day 4 of the Blue mountain the true mountain ski season. I arrived at the upper lot around 7:20AM and the temperature was around 30 degrees under partly sunny sky's with light winds. In the house today we're Atomic Jeff, Slim, JFBBDan, Tarponhead, Indiggio, Guitar73, TinyMoose, a few ski divas, West Chester guys, Nastar Glenn, Tele Matt, MBike Mike, GahSkier George and many others. First civilian chair and second one down..early on easy out and vista was nice smooth sugary cord, similar conditions on come around, midway was lipstick on a pig first run..cookie push piles rest of the time could have gotten better with warmer temps this afternoon and lower Main Street was not bad as it had been blown on. Guns were blazing in the valley and on lazy mile and one gun going at the end of upper Main Street. Crowds on the trails were pretty heavy but no real lifelines this is the weekend everybody is buying Xmas trees and there often isn't even skiing yet the first weekend in December so I'm calling this a bonus weekend. I quit a little after 10 after two solid hours then had some beers and chips in the parking lot and by the time I left a little after 12 the temperature was in the mid 40s. Props to blues snowmakers looks like they'll really be able to get busy beginning Wednesday night. JADIP
  3. Can't wait to read yours and Saltyants reports. I'll be posting a Blue report soon
  4. You're never gonna be banned Saltyant..how's Camelback? You still skiing? I just got back to the A. I'll post a report in a little bit. Was a fun morning at Blue.
  5. On the way home. I wonder if the cookies are softening.
  6. Looks great inversion again today. Five foot base lower Main Street 8 inch base on vista lol. Where is everybody.
  7. Cliffhanger has been groomed the majority of times I've skied it but I haven't been to Camelback in 4 years.
  8. Cliffhanger is easier than the other four. Camelback just wanted to have a double diamond. Nightmare at Blue mountain is a double diamond and the chute is a single diamond and harder. Things don't always make sense a lot of it is pure marketing. Smugglers notch even has a triple diamond.
  9. If it's something that interests you buy an inclinator
  10. What makes PA skiing easy is the lack of sustained pitches for instance the Hobacks at Jackson hole are 30-35 degrees in pitch for over 2500 vert.
  11. Nothing is steeper than 30 degrees except white lightning at Montage and the elevator at Jack Frost. Top of razors and challenge are high 20s I inamine the tops of the front four at Camelback is mid 20s cliffhanger likely low 20s
  12. I think midway at Blue is harder than Cliffhanger at Cameltoe..the chute for sure..it's so narrow and steep you need hop turns to get down it..
  13. Wow just wow...I broke a buckle hot dogging it in the lift line..luckily ski patrol didn't see me or I would have gotten a demerit and 15 lashes.
  14. Were any of the runs at Montage good?? I'll show you some sweet woods at Blue that require mandatory Giant Slalom turns.
  15. Wow just wow so you were walking with your straps undone and they were dangling along the ground. I don't understand the logistics. On busy days you should see how happy people are to get the spots in the PASR section of the lower lot when we leave.
  16. Blue used to open at 730am. I'm cool with an 8am opening on weekends and 830 on weekdays.
