Hey All, I’m back from opening day 2022-23 at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at around 810am and Dirtwolf was already in the house. Also in attendance were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, C1, Schifdawg, PARidgeNancy, Enjorales, Pops, Boo Bear, MBike Mike, Mrs. snowbunski, Nastar Glenn, Indiggio, Mixilplix, Tarpenhead, Slim, Faldo, Charles and many others. i had lift scanning issues and ended up on the fourth quad and into the fog for first run of the season on Coming soon…coverage was outstanding and the snow was decent..firm and soft no cookies. Paradise was even better snow and very nice to be able to open it up a little opening day. Burma had good coverage and was fun as well. I got my pass sorted out let’s hope it works tomorrow. Like many opening days, there was a nice beer drinking contingent in the lot and even chips and it got progressively warmer with the temperature rising through the 40s and into the 50s. There was never any real crowd today probably due to the earlier showers. Tomorrow looks like much nice weather and everything should groom out well Again hats off to the snowmakers on an impressive opening day. I even rode the vista chair once to checkout the top station of the new super summit safari six pack. JADIP

If you listen to the lyrics of this song you can gain some insight into Park Crues plans for this season. Essentially they climbed the mountain, got knocked down by the landslide, saw reflection in the snow covered hills, built their life around Blue and been afraid of changes but Park Crue is getting older like all of us I think Bryson is now 23 and Wyatt voted for Fetterman because he wanted change and the mountain operations team wants change as well.

I’m happy about that..and I bet they’ll be happy as come around had a ton of non park traffic.

Just believe me on they take the price of my helmet along with then number of days I’ve skied in 17 seasons. BINGO yes that’s a dog

I got a new helmet, I figured after 17 years time to replace the Giro fuse. My per day cost on that helmet was like ten cents so got my moneys worth out of it. Also got a new jacket, new socks and new goggles. Buckmans was empty and the guy working there said Blue prob won’t open this weekend cause the rain will wash away all the snow.

Trails end isn’t listed as an open run and Salty has it colored in.

Yes it’s lined top to bottom with Zenith HP-4000 snowmaking cannons..they’re produced in Czechslavia and are the most elite snowguns. There’s probably a 4-5 foot base up on Free Willy it’s gonna be a whale of a good time Friday.
