Living is expensive.
I would've voted for that "rent is too damn high" guy.
Inflation is rough…taxes are rough…I don’t know how most normal people can afford the rent and car payments and stuff. Wages vs cost of living doesn’t equate. I’m sure in Bidens second term things will get better lol

I had a dream last night ..
Taylor Swift came to Jim Thorpe and I got 3tickets.
So I guess I peaked in life. Funs over.
Are you a swiftie? My friend is flying to London next week to see the Phillies and then going to Scotland to see Taylor Swift perform.

I'll try to ski this season if zonked wants your buddy pass.
@Zonked is married now, she can buy her own buddy pass. I’m giving mine to Root.

60 bucks for two hours. Maybe this is why indoor skateparks are going out.
Most of us make more than $30 an hour so I don’t see that as a ton to ski. My Jackson hole trip was $4-5k and I skied under 20 hours that week and worth it lol

Nipples. I mean Steven.
He’s a big time runner now. I last saw him at Blue January of 2020 and he was 26 years young then so now 30…wow just wow maybe even 31…and I remember riding the old Main Street chair with him when he was a little grom and he was always hopped up on Red Bull..
nipples ridge and Papasteeze were big time early supporters of PASR..gotta give credit where credit is due. I think he helped design some of the early stickers. I mailed my last one to @C1erArtprob 15 years ago…I remember putting 1-2 in the envelope in my office and mailing it to him and I didn’t even charge him for the stamp. #GenerousAF

Maybe next year try a ski fari at somewhere closer with lower altitude. For example, there are six places to ski within an hour of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The largest ski area from that article is Little Switzerland in Slinger, and it features a vertical drop of over 200 feet. There are a whopping 18 runs for your skiing enjoyment and it also offers a Chalet Restaurant.
Thanks for the suggestions!!! The off season is flying by. Already 10% of the way to the next ski season as Blue closed 20 20 24 days ago and yes I wanna be sedated.

Life keeps getting in the way. There is a group of ladies going to ski Mt Sopris next weekend. I’ve asked all of them if they want to do it as an overnighter as I don’t think I could skin up over 4000’ in one day. No takers unfortunately. Looks to be some doable (for me ) lines on Independence Pass that I am going to throw out to the same group of ladies to see if there is any interest.
I saw Eldora got 10”

I don’t do nuggets at mickey D’s . They taste ok but too much grease and visually they remind me of particle board when I bite into them. I’m not a fast food chicken fan but a couple months ago stopped at a Popeyes and liked them a lot but they’re pretty expensive as well.
Chic fil A has a great chicken Sando and nuggets. I like Wendy’s nuggets.

Jlaw takes the most badass ski trips, cause he not only hits all different places, but turns them into a road trip seeing different parts of the country. If I ever win the lottery (not possible as I don’t play) it would be cool to just drive all over the western US in the winter, following the snow
I agree I thought by this age I’d be doing stuff like that but I’m bad at saving money and I really can’t take off much time from work right now it’s all gas no brakes…
-
Nice reports..JLaw was it just you and your brother skiing or some solo skiing?

Went up yesterday with a bunch of Blue mountain bunny bumpers. Sun was shining, nary a cloud in the sky.
Snow started out firm and fast but soon the blazing sun turned frozen bumps hero.
Spent the day lapping Belleayre Run under the lift line to show off for all those riding the lift.
Great day for some spring skiing!
They also had their pond skim going, so we went over to check it out. Unfortunately it was on hold as the pond sprung a leak and was only a few inches deep.
Wow huge crew

I turned off the heat yesterday at work and right now it’s 62 degrees in my office and 72 degrees outside.

We are a dying industry, more people get cremated, less buried and with cremations people are less likely to have their own memorial stone. At least four local monument companies have gone out of business in the last 20 years.
The industry is changing and yeah people die in the winter more than the summer at least in North America and the day with the most deaths is January 1st…Xmas to New Years week lots of deaths..combination of more travel, more alcohol use, more over eating, more stress and more viruses in the winter…
