  1. Ski2Live you are already thinking about if you might take a ski trip out west with a buddy next season. Steeze Louise I thought you were coming with us to Jackson hole or perhaps Verbier with Salty and Matt Edge. Why not Ikon plus a blue pass. That’s what I’d do.
  2. You guys have a private chef? You should go into town one of these nights!!
  3. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday could be pow days for you guys..
  4. When I had my mega wipeout on Amphitheater I had no idea where my ski was for about a minute..it was 200 yards up in the gully that’s skiers left of amphitheater there’s a rope between the two runs..it was almost like when you play golf and your ball ends up on another hole. It’s amazing how terrible ski boots are for deep snow travel once you get out of your skis. Back when I used to take safety breaks at Jackson hole I sometimes would take off skis in the woods and relax and getting back into skis is a chore..when one leg is a foot and a half higher than other.
  5. It’s so steep you’ll be climbing up on your hands and knees..I’m sure he got the skis somehow but by the time you’re back into your skis and get your bearings your skiing will suffer because it’s so mental. The highs and lows of being a skier. This guy went heli skiing and was hit by a snow snake..insane
  6. Nice podcast about Alterra and the Ikon Pass. Alterra recently bought 11 ski resorts. Between the epicpass and Ikon Pass there are 58 North American resorts in total. The early season pass revenue is so good for these large ski resort conglomerates. There’s a lot more mid mountain beers to sell than slopeside real estate. Cultivating future customers while they travel across the country seems like a win win. On YouTube and Teton gravity there are accounts of people both young and old going on extended ski trips out west hitting multiple Ikon resorts along the way..the pictures and videos they share at the water cooler and online is seriously good marketing. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2019-03-01/epic-vs-ikon-battle-for-the-best-ski-pass
  7. Nice to see you’re giving the Mangy Moose some more business. I’ve helped bands there put equipment on the stage cause I’m such a nice guy. A shame there’s no more Village Cafe, you guys would have loved that..it was in the 7 levels building which is where the Calderra house currently is, the building next to the Tram building. It had a coffee shop, T-shirt shop, rental shop, was home to Teton gravity’s offices and the bar was on the bottom level..played ski movies from a projected, had pizza slices and back in the hippie days people would often get naked and run to one of the base area pools or hot tubs and jump in. Not long ago like 10 years ago Bob Dylan showed up at the Village cafe during an open mic night. Imagine that..he’s no Huey Lewis but still legit.
  8. I’ve only skied snow king once for two hours when JH closed early due to high winds. I also one time walked over there at night and drank in the bar and met some girls there for a seminar. Ended up riding in their party bus back to the silver dollar bar then going to town square tavern playing poker then leaving with an almost full beer and getting stopped by Jackson police for open container.
  9. Eaf I think salty should hire you as his personal ski coach. How much per hour would you charge? I might throw down some shekels for this!!!
  10. Well and Enjorales liked the skiing conditions yesterday and I thought it was kind of meh maybe he likes it hard..I mean the snow. Different slopes for different folks. If we all liked the same thing they’d run out of KFC mashed potatoes.
  11. PinkyQ’s is good. I’ve was there a couple times with my Montana friend in beteeej bar hopping. I’m going to buy over the shoe crampons of some sort for my next trip to Jackson hole like what mailmen sometimes wear. I like walking around the town..every morning I walk a couple blocks to the bagel place and sometimes after skiing walk to the loaf and jug of Bin 22 and then walk somewhere to dinner..
