glad you had fun and the trails weren't crowded on one of the typical ski trip nights. hoping the entire mountain will be open by the weekend.

build looks sick so far they got the bottom six rails in. hopefully theyll get the first jump in black bear built and scatter a few rails on it till they have enough snow for the mini jump line. i hope they put skirting on that one flat bar rail cuz i got stuck under it a few times yesterday and it didn't feel very good.

horrible cat tracks everywhere. im guessing they blew right up till open and groomed in super quick. hopefully time allows for more care to be taken on this build. DO ittt. i think kevin and justin come up during the evenings sometimes.

probably because bear doesn't blow ice chunks. it actually does feel like powder if you pick it up, it just doesnt lay on the ground like natural snow does.

yep i think they wrote on the Facebook that they'll be $15. cant wait to shred bear this weekend. FEELS GOOD TO BE HOME FINALLY.

ive never seen bear blow so much snow when they were open. theyll have most if not all of the mountain open by the weekend for sure. hiked in full on snow making yesterday.. it was worth it. park crew kept the features prime. totally jealous sean got first run down black bear.

dont get your hopes up doug. i still have a season pass there.

The money bear brought in from race team was probably extremely insignificant in the long run.

doug why do you constantly post in the bear forums yet i've never seen you there? get something better to do with your life.

because with possible rain and 50 degree temps on the weekend they lose less snow if they keep the snow in piles and dont have anyone ski on it. if they opened now pretty much the same thing as last time might happen. as they push it out it just melts and gets dirty. then people ski on it in warm temperatures and it melts more. then they close again.

lift lines were like 15 minutes when i left. trails were horrendous. morning was awesome though. even the race team was eating it in the sugar at the bottom of that one straight and long trail. i couldnt decide if i wanted to slip out on my skis with no edges on the ice or get eaten by the snow snakes in the sugar so i just pointed it.

ive always hated the way planet features ride. it feels like toys under my feet. stoked bears getting a little hike park going.

bear really got effed by the weather this season. it blows. i wrote this on the facebook but ill write it here as well. if they ever do open id like to see some rails on black bear and nothing on cascade just blowing because it seems at this point its not worth it to put the lil pre season park in cascade that we usually have. just wait and build a full fun park like the one at the end of the season last year.

i doubt it would make any blue passholders not get a pass next year... its going to be like two weeks of more crowds... which would come with the holidays anyway. if anyone doesnt get a pass at blue next year SOLELY because blue let bears pass holders in then they obviously never liked blue much in the first place.

blue will be crowded on Christmas week weather they offer this to other pass holders or not. especially with all the mountains that are not open yet. its super nice of them and super good pr. people talking good about a place goes way further then a billboard

honestly we've waited pretty long already so at this point id rather they open with the entire mountain and a decent park and base then open with 2 trails and muddy cat tracks everywhere. even if it means waiting another week.

if you're going to post meaning less stuff in the bear creek forums at least make it funny.
