I would be inclined to blame the supply chain for this, but everything at blue takes forever.
most other areas are installing lifts no problem this year.

Also looks like the circus is in town.
Unfortunately, I think within the next decade most areas will have a circus of their own. It will be kind of like the 70’s and 80’s with resorts investing into snowmaking. Those who did stayed afloat, yet many who didn’t became nelsapped.

I hope things start to move a little quicker...
seriously. Camelbacks looks almost completed. At least blue’s it won’t take 5 years to install like Magic’s quad. (Hopefully)
Watch this year be crazy cold and everyone open for thanksgiving, and blue opens with just vista chair due to the new lift still not being done.

make sure you video this!
mufuggers are heavy!
I would suggest a lot of beer, and someone with a pickup truck or trailer!
They are 150 pounds. I’ve put more weight in kayaks on my roof. Just can’t lift solo.

If anyone lives nearby and wants free beer, I could use an extra set of arms to lift onto my roof racks. they aren’t helping to lift into/onto cars like every other mountain does with their chair sales and my friends bailed.

I forgot about this. How much were they going for?

Did anyone pick up a chair? I got a double but have received no information about picking up the chair.

Boulder is apparently getting new trails too. A new intermediate trail, a couple new crossovers, and the lift line for the Merry Widow lift will be a trail as well.

I wonder if a relocation of that ski patrol building will happen in the future. it breaks up the top to bottom flow for laps off the new lift, and its not like ski patrol can just hop onto a lift next to the building anymore.

Do you still have this seat by chance? I keep ripping through seats on my impreza and according to internet experts there is a good chance this will fit.

The valley cam now has a fantastic view of the quad.

About ten years (maybe further back) I dont remember, but they closed due to inclement weather. However their website said they were open and so did there phone line, even while i was in the parking lot with a bunch of other people being told by security guard that they are closed for the day due to rain.
It ended up being a bluebird day in the poconos, and i drove over to shawnee. It was at that point i saw the light...not just blue mountain, but anywhere else besides camelback

I'll never buy a boot without BOA again. Flows though I'm still on the fence about, though I'm currently binding shopping.
Nidecker now owns flow. They expanded on the rear entry and are now have something called the supermatic. It looks more promising than burtons step ons because you can use any boot.

Blue is really committed to not tearing down that metal power line structure thingy.

I'm surprised they aren't routing it right up the lift line of the Burma/Main Street Chair. I'm sure there's a good reason it's not going there but I just can't seem to figure out what that is right now. I'm not a huge fan of lifts that turn though so maybe it's for the best.
If i had to guess, I would say they need space for the bottom terminal which would be pretty substantial in size. It would hav made that intersection an even bigger cluster F*ck.
This new alignment if done right would allow Burma road to flow right into shuttle or the valley school hill. That also gives blue two really long top to bottom beginner routes. Beginners love being able to say “they went to the top”

Looks like they zoomed the Main Street cam, unfortunately.
From the valley cam, it looks like some grading or work going on higher up the lift line.

Full screen button work for you? It didn't for me on my computer, but does here:
the button doesn't work. I ctrl click or two finger click on the image and there's a full screen option. I just wish it would play continuously.

Can’t wait to poach the Old lifeline after one of Palmerton’s famous storm cycles.

I can’t imagine other ski resorts wanting tiny little double chairs tho
plenty of independent resorts have and rely on doubles. Even if they don't need a lift, they may need the parts depending on manufacturer.

Seems silly if they are just removing it at some point.
maybe they have a buyer. older parts are hard to come buy.

Have you looked today? I swear they aren't.
Just looked. When i looked the lift on the right was running and stopping repeatedly. Left lift looks like some chairs are gone but that could be the light trick.

They should have at least paint the damn slides like a forest green (or ordered them in that color). It would have reduced the circus factor by 6 percent.
