jdew Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 From the CB website: "Due to weather conditions Camelback will close at 5pm today. Camelback will reopen for daily operation on Saturday at 8am."
Justin Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 The rain and warm weather might cause some unpredictable snowpack in the CB backcountry. I don't blame them.
Ski Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 There's no way CB is closing in an hour. It has to be some crazy hoax. Doug must have hacked their site.
AngryHugo Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 that sun could get into someone's eyes and blind him. very dangerous. good thing they closed.
Barb Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 I just checked the weather forecast for the rest of the evening in Tannersville. 10% chance of rain the rest of the night temps in the low 40's. So what's with the "due to weather"? Warm temps? So lame.
Ski Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 wheres ski911? Hospital. He was caught out in the sun.
ski911 Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Normally we have like 1700 people in groups on friday nights. They ALL cancelled by noonish today. I do not no why, other than it was pretty ugly at the time. I guess they have to cancel that early because of travel arrangements (not sure). As far as closing....I don't really know. I do know that alot of grooming work is being done in the park and both pipes (if they can do anything). The rest of the trails are being pushed and bare spots are being covered. We still have a pretty good base, but, it needed to be moved around a bit. Flame on
toast21602 Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 i feel bad for all of the hate that camelback gets sometimes... but in this case, its well deserved.
ski911 Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 I am an Albino, fannypack wearing vampire.
toast21602 Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 no i have a question... do you actually wear the fanny pack, on your fanny? or do you wear it on your stomach (which seems to be the more popular approach)
Ski Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 I am an Albino, fannypack wearing vampire. Hahaha...you're definitely a good guy ski911...doesn't mean much coming from me, I know, but you get props for taking it head on. Did we see you skiing at Sno tonight?
ski911 Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 I was not at Sno and I usually wear my fanny pack on my right hip, just slightly askew.
