Ski Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Word has it that our little 'Dude finished run one of the State Championship GS at Elk in 19th, then held his own in run two to be somewhere around 20th place. For perspective, he's among the youngest of 80 or so boys ranging from 15 to 19 yrs. Top 40 would be good; top 30 excellent. But 20th? There's another GS-- and also a slalom-- this weekend. The 'Dude had a very good day. Maybe Iceman will treat him to that Dangerous Curves place down the road from Elk?
Glenn Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Thats great to hear! Keep up the good work Adam, and SKI FAST
skierboi Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 no super g b.c in the j3 one i had to do a sg

Ski Posted March 5, 2005 Author Report Posted March 5, 2005 Hmmmmmm......would Skimom consider that a "treat"??? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. And someone would suffer greatly if caught.
poconoceancity Posted March 5, 2005 Report Posted March 5, 2005 No. And someone would suffer greatly if caught. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ski999, Didn't you DJ at Dangerous Curves in the early 90's?
Ski Posted March 6, 2005 Author Report Posted March 6, 2005 No word on the 'Dude, yet. And no, I never Dj'd at a nudie bar. Nudie bars are scary and, well, I'm not a DJ.
skimom Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 The 'dude was awesome all weekend, though Friday was his best. He can fill you in when he gets home. P.S. The place is Radical Curves, and it looked scuzzy. Fortunately, it was not necessary to include it in the 'dudes agenda - He got enough attention from all of the cute J2's.

skierboi Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 congrats dude, glad that one of us had a good weekend
skidude Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 On Friday I skied a 117ish point race (if my mental math is correct at 730 am)...About 72 race points and 45 added to the penatly. I came in 21st. Yesterday in the slalom I came in 30th over all ( about 186 total points) Not sure how I did today, but I would guess around 160 points...We will see when the results come out. Anyway as far as the snow goes it was really soft and powdery...which means ruts. All 3 days there was one turn on the headwall with hardpack, and everything else really required a whole different style to ski it. Well we shall see how my points are whenever the come out with the final results...

Margaritaville Skier Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Way to go "Dude". And to thiink I was crazy enough to challenge you to a race when I was up at CB a couple of weeks ago. Glad that didn't happen.

ThinkSnow Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 I generally warn grown ups not to try to keep up with Skidude. The last friend of mine who tried to do this ended up kissing a tree. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Last time I tried I ended up with a big red circle on my ticket from a ranger The dude is one fast little bugger. Way to go!
Papasteeze Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 Haha Thanks everyone...I will keep you posted as soon as the results come out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Congrats!! waiting to see those results>>>>>>
