143 points, which is great for her in slalom as that is not her best event.

Dumb question.....is she wearing a face guard? I've seen other pictures of ski racers wearing that. In what circumstances do you wear the guard over your face?

I took it. The focus isn't that great as I guess I was impatient and forced the camera to start its tracking before I got the "okay" or something....

 

You wear face guards for slalom because most SL racers smack their way through the gates and they have a tendency to smack you back. When Siblet was back East they only required a mouth guard. The first SL race she had here she came across the finish with a nose bleed. After that we rushed to buy the face guard.

The season appears to be over. I am waiting to hear the status of a May race out at Mt. Hood.
