Margaritaville Skier Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 haha margaritaville, it must stink knowing its snowing here and your stuck down there. So hows the weather down there? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 75 and sunny. Still using the pool and water skiing although a shorty is nice while skiing. Manatees are starting to move back inshore which sux since that results in a lot of idle zones in the rivers. Gators and snakes aren't as active in the lakes.
ThinkSnow Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Wow... manmade mountains... sounds like it could work god knows they get enuf snow
poconoceancity Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Wow... manmade mountains... sounds like it could work god knows they get enuf snow <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Several resorts in Michigan were once dumps. The vert is low (200-400 ft.), but the snowfall amounts in those lake effect regions is huge. Over 300 inches in some parts.
Ski Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 (edited) Manatees are starting to move back inshore which sux since that results in a lot of idle zones in the rivers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We were at Hermosa Springs this summer and my kid said they looked like the dog they found drowned in our lake, "kinda fat and all puffy".
