  1. Alrighty, since Ski and Pops can't keep your childlike bitching private, this thread is again locked. Grow up.
  2. Ok, this thread started well and I'd like to actually keep the communication open here. So, please refrain from acting like a bunch of little girls and talk about things like adults. Play nice.
  3. Had an awesome week out here in Jackson, did some great skiing and had a lot of fun. It's about time to head out, but I'll post a full report tomorrow. I Jackson Hole!
  4. Some friends hit up the Brewery last night, I think we may tonight... Yeah, I really like the town. We took a walk the other night to the cowboy bar (saddle bar stools are NOT comfortable) and checked out town square. I liked the little boardwalk thing too. We've been unlucky on the wildlife front, and the only things we've seen have been deer. We're taking a snowmobile trip tomorrow so we're hoping to see something then. Some of our friends saw a moose on the hobacks the other day. Anywho, time to hit up breakfast and then the mountain (making today a laid back day, need some recooperation). Later!
  5. Yeah, for me the Saratoga bowl was more my speed, and was still challenging with lots of pow. As for food, yeah, I went to Bubba's last night and got a rack of ribs with some fries and corn on the cob for like $13, good shit! Right now I just got back from Gun Barrel Steak and Game House, where I had a real nice Elk dinner... It was different but very good. I sucked down a few snake river lagers to liven up the night, and it's looking pretty good. I think we're gonna be headed to bed soon and getting a late start tomorrow after a nice breakfast. I'll be getting some better pictures to share with you all tomorrow!
  6. Well, today was awesome, I skied off the Apre Vous chair most of the day and had tons of untracked pow, it was sick! It was great seeing brie cut her first "first tracks". I hung out in the saratoga bowl for a couple runs, and it was definitely insane. There were several tree runs I made where I was in waist deep powder... Anywho, haven't gotten many good pics yet, but tomorrow will be a photo day. Here's a couple we've gotten. Hehe, actually that was Brie's brother Bryan who is out here in the group we're in. Brielle is SnowBunny
  7. Alrighty A-hole, tomorrow when you're in school, think about me... I'm not out here to be some kind of vert whore. I'm out here to enjoy a new mountain a new town. I just got back from a nice BBQ place for dinner that was good, and I'm headed out to hit the town shortly. It seems like a bit of an issue to me that the only reason you ski is to brag about some silly numbers. By the way, the girl you want me to ditch did great today, and really enjoyed herself, the smile was worth 100k. Anywho, I'm out to more important things Thanks for the backup Doug, VY, Sib!
  8. Having a blast so far! This mountain is so much different from anything I've skied... it's great.
  9. Wow! Got my butt kicked today, this place is awesome! I ended up only doing 5 runs (about 15k vert), but I found some real nice stuff, and finally saw what a real black diamond is supposed to feel like. I hit up a couple of little ravines which actually had some ice, but were tons of fun. I did one gondola run, and the main thing I noticed was the difference between the top and bottom. At the bottom is was flurrying, light wind, and about 30 degrees. By the time I got to the top it was 5-10 degrees, heavy winds, and felt like a friggin blizzard. I ran a "steezy" (figured I'd follow Doug's write-up style) run down the rendezvous bowl and down to lower sublet ridge and Rawlins bowl, which was my favorite. Anywho, time for food, beer, shower, and hot tub... not necessarily in that order. Gotta catch the 8am bus tomorrow, supposed to get a dump tonight from what I hear. Later!
  10. Ok, after quite a long day I've finally made it to my motel room and hooked up to the wonderfully free wireless internet.. So, my day.... The original plan was to get on a 7:30 flight to chicago, and catch a flight from there to Jackson, well the weather didn't agree with that plan. Our flight to chicago got delayed, and therefore scratched our second flight. We ended up at the airport at 5:45 am with no flight to catch, and come to find out we've been re-booked on a philly-dallas-jackson route that leaves philly at 1:30. So, we decide to head back to my place to get some breakfast and a nap. So we head back to the airport around noonish, and of course the plane to Dallas is running almost an hour behind. We managed to get in the air and still have time for our connection, so that was a plus. The best thing of the day was that we got bumped into first class for the dallas-jackson flight. I've never flown first class before, but man, it was nice... We arrived in Jackson to some dust on the ground and flurrying, 18 degrees. Now it's time to relax and shower and get some rest, hitting the slopes early in the morning! Will keep you posted!
  11. Wow... that might actually be something cool to head over there for...
  12. Wow... I just caught this thread. I really need to read more! Y'all are crazy.
  13. Eh, the day has passed, and this thread has gone far past useless.
  14. Hey man, I never asked you for anything free... I had a hoodie show up in my mailbox one day and now I'm being called a cheapskate? Man... get over yourself.
  15. Sibby, I love the new sig picture! Awesome!
  16. While I've never puchased from The Ski Bum, I've heard great things from members of this site about them. I know several people from here have gotten things there and were very pleased. Also, in dealing with Duane, he's a very good guy and willing to help people out.
  17. Please... let's not... The "cancelled" thing was my angry response to your "no staff allowed" policy, which made me wonder why you would call it a PASR day if nothing official from PASR was even allowed. (being ALLOWED to come and being able to come are 2 different things)
  18. This is something that we indeed had talked about a while back... I will need some information from you such as the bandwidth you've been using along with the amount of hits you've been getting. Please PM me with as much info as you have. As you know, web space can be costly, even more than a thousand dollars worth of merchandise. I had actually begun working on a space for you before my attention was diverted for a while. I like the idea, but definitely need to know what we're getting into so that I know we can support it with the resources we have available to us.
  19. He is absolutely a great skier, and I don't see anyone disputing that... I think most people are just calling him an A-hole.
  20. Yeah, I'm quite glad bode came in 5th. After all the talking he's been doing it's good to see that he wasn't able to get the job done. Maybe 0 medals will make him think about what he's saying and doing.
  21. Sorry to hear about your accident man, get better soon!... And, no, I wasn't there to see it.
  22. Yeah, was lots of fun tonight. I never actually ended up feeling comfortable on that course, and ended up in the woods one run, but had a ton of fun.... I guess you have to be ready for any type of snow when race day rolls around...
  23. Eh, enough flames... blah
