It looks like a migraine in evolution.
  2. We'll put a big target on his back...
  3. Actually, it was the edited version of the pic I did that got you the dates. You are SUCH a chick magnet in those grannies... No wonder you didn't make it into the top 16. Me too. BTW, he's the star of NASTAR too - he won the pacesetter trails. Another 30 or so handicap points, and I'll fly right past him.
  4. Granny panties, eh, Doug? Ha, at least I made the cut-off for advancement in the Go-Pro - maybe you and Metz are the ones wearing Granny panties?
  5. If you are a skibum, occasional ski trips=educational trips. RC, where are you going out West?
  6. The first year we qualified it was a nice feeling. The NJSkifamily would have a blast mingling with the Olympic stars and racing directly against them. When they earn a handicap against an Olympic skier, they know it's the real thing. And, these guys will autograph anything. I hope you get to go one of these years.
  7. Have fun. You will have a blast. I agree with 'dude though - at Park City the course maintainance was nil - we raced in ruts up to our armpits. It's OK for the experts, but for most recreational racers it's survival-mode racing.
  8. Congrats, Skierboi: Should we bring sleeping bags when we come to visit?

  10. Did you see the guy take off his long undies at the ASRA race? I almost fainted dead onto the floor... ... Let's be serious here - race suits are one thing, but Birthday suits are completely another. I guess that's the difference between men seeing women change and vice versa... BTW, Metzy, both you and Atomic passed the speed suit inspection. Furthermore, the female PAskiandride contingent commends you both for picking nice colors.
  11. That's nothing, Atomic. I made it to CB in 2 minutes, in my Forester. No problem. Nice silky snow, no crowds,...I played around with the Bodes. Nice.
  12. I heard that the rub ons that you apply at room temp before you go out are supposed to last for the ski session - some of the swix rub ons. The real top coat fluoro stuff lasts about 4 turns. Pops, aren't moleb's good for hard crystals - like new snow and dry cold temps? What's better, graphite or moleb? And, which is better for what?
  13. The powder fanatics will wait for Sunday. And the weather advisory will keep timid drivers home. So Sat could be fantastic, crowdwise... I have races at another mountain Sat, but will go to CB instead if it looks like major driving problems in the afternoon. I also heard 1:30 or 2 PM for CB NASTAR Saturday, with a chance they will cancel it altogether. Maybe Kragan will join us for a few NASTAR runs? It's all in fun...
  14. Put me down as likely for Fri PM, possible for Saturday, and likely for Sunday. If you don't know what I look like, look for the Mum on NASTAR at start time. I am usually the only Mum on race skis. Although SL P50's, are likely, it's possible I'll be on Atomic Bode GS skis.
  15. So, what was the problem with the course? You posted times, not handicaps, so it's hard to tell how tough it was... Anyway, it sounds like you had fun...good work to all of you who made the effort to go. Doug, I went through a redbull phase a couple years ago, and still enjoy the red bull effect from time-to-time. I've had some great runs after it, but also some of my worst. There is a body of scientific literature that suggests it helps attention a bit, but it hasn't been tested against caffeine (only placebo). Mostly I avoid it now because it's main negative effect... There is nothing worse than waiting endlessly for one's turn with a full bladder.
  16. Beachie, why not do NASTAR too? We have a lot of parent-racers, even if we don't go as fast as the kids.
  17. No idea where Jeff got that notion. ASRA has held races on Razors, but the run they choose depends on a variety of factors. As far as I know, Razor's was not in the differential for this year. Why not come to MC instead? You can do GS and SL, and their courses have a nice pitch. Their SL course was long last year. Who knows, maybe JohnnyP will be there.
  18. I laughed to myself when I saw that you guys posted "packed powder" conditions on your website yesterday. Almost fell off my skis when I got there and found the report to be true. Cheers to you guys - I don't know how you do it, but keep up the good work!
  19. Is that seconds or handicaps? For a 9 yo, I'm thinking seconds? Why not have him continue at BC NASTAR on Wed or Blue on Thurs? If he asks the starters for pointers, he'll improve quickly.
  20. I could have told you that the ASRA race was on Raceway - all the ASRA races this season are there. Metzy, where were you last night? You would have fit right in at BC - They got the winner of the Roundtop pacestetter trials to paceset and everyone was stripped down trying to catch him (except the 'dude who refused to budge from his traditional untuned SL skis and warm-ups). The snow was awesome - I don't know how BC managed to turn the entire mountain into powder, but they did. It was easily the most fun I've had at NASTAR all year... Anyway, when you and Jeff finally show up in your suits, the taskforce on physical physiques will assess the situation in detail. You are a riot. It will be dual, with SL style gates.
  21. Kragan: For advice, are you going to Keystone or Vail? If Keystone, why fly to Vail? ANd would you stick with Keytone or go to nearby areas? Most flights to Vail have a stopover in Denver anyway. It sounds like an awesome trip. Glad you have a camera. Ummm, Summitt County Co, ...
  22. Wow, unusual. ACL's are usually all-or-none injuries. It sounds like a long shot, but let's hope for the best.
  23. Assassin: optimally, the garments are removed while the female is riding the lift...so it looks like you will have to do inspection while en route to the sacraficial bra tree. I hope that won't pose too much of a problem... Atomic: ASRA never cancels - occasionally the mountain does, but not ASRA. I will not race in powder again. In fact, I am reluctant to ski in powder at all. It's nasty stuff until it's well groomed in.
  24. Male. He's around 50, been there for a decade or more and teaches many of the private lessons. He's diplomatic, moderately extroverted, focuses on overall basics and smoothness of movement, and he loves to teach. He's there weekends. Ha,ha, what else do you want to know...he drinks beer and G&Ts in warmer weather. This is regular ski school, right? He's not a race coach...
