  1. Nice hard fast cord at camelback today too. Skied 830 to 2, no lines till 11 and managed to ski alternate lifts to avoid lines once they formed. Freaking freezing start got me to buy my 1st face mask Injured my thumb a bit. Icing now.
  2. It happens, but the one day I was at Blue this year the lines were so bad I got 7 runs in over 4 hours. I could have done about 20 on Phoebe Snow in that time, and with much less aggravation because sitting on a lift is relaxing and scenic while jostling for line position in a disorganized mob is annoying as hell.
  3. I assumed that rant was tongue in cheek making fun of the things people post about montage. I would certainly take no line for the Phoebe Snow lift over a herd like mob spending 20 minutes jostling for position to get on a high speed sofa.
  4. At Shawnee with kids yesterday. As crowded as I have seen it there, but lines never got over 10 minutes on HSQ with under 5 on other lifts. Pretty good conditions overall considering. All trails still open but getting narrow and shallow. Getting worried about how long we will be skiing this year.
  5. Maybe President Bernie will get ski slopes to accept food stamps. Then things will change.
  6. Oh yeah, a power plant will be awesome for property values
  7. No worse than the East Mountain lift line I skied at Frost Sunday
  8. Only married once. Enjoying being a single dad half the time now. Thought I was marrying my best friend, things change. Would not buy real estate with ski buddies. But if you do definitely discuss all these issues and any others you can think of between you first and reach consensus on how you want to resolve them before going in to ask a lawyer to draft your document. Don't want to pay him by the hour while you hash these out in his office. If he is any gpod, you can also count on him raising some new issues you will not have contemplated that you will have to resolve. FWIW I am a lawyer, but please do not consider this legal advice. Consult a lawyer who is expert in such things.
  9. I think it is kind of crazy to go in on a real estate purchase with folks you don't have a life long bond with given all the issues that can arise. For example, one person doesnt make their mortgage payments and either someone else has to cough up that amount or the property goes into foreclosure. And the % ownership of the person missing the payment is not automatically diminished. Even is you pay cash, you can either have a situation (depending on how you structure the deal) where one person could sell their share to someone you don't all like or trust or where a person could not sell if they needed the money and some of the others did not consent to the person he wanted to sell to. You may all be best buds and have commit needs and desires and plans today, but people's lives take them in different directions. I'm real glad I never bought real estate with my ex-wife, and I thought we had a life long bond.
  10. Was living in a townhouse in a complex where they hired plows and shovelers. I got spoiled for sure. Probably doing Shawnee with the kids this weekend. Got 4 more prepaid visits with the kids there to use up this season. Have one more prepaid trip to Blue so I will be there at least once more. With as short as this season may be, I am racing to try to use all the tix I prepaid for with PASR cards and other deals.
  11. Having just bought a place I will need to shovel myself 8 days ago (nice timing, was originally supposed to close on it 11 days ago), I will be ok if future storms this winter focus more on the mountains than on central NJ
  12. The closed signs weren't what kept me off it. Did BB in pm. Better snow there. Nice lift line run to right of boulder park.
  13. I looked over the cliff. It looked skiable today. But I decided not to do it today, with a body sore from moving yesterday. Did tear up my skis a bit doing the challenge glades to E.Mt lift line run this am.
  14. Take it easy, we will have Elk shooting for 100 days til late April.
  15. Loved letting my girls have their first bump experiences on the soft stuff on Switchback and Dreamweaver. They made it through like champs.
  16. Nice day. The soft bumps on switchback and Dreamweaver were a great level of challenge for the kids - probably the toughest stuff they have skied to date. Paradise was a real nice surface. Lazy Mile started getting a little bumpy by the time we left. Skiable trees off Tuts and Lazy. Lines were insane at valley lifts so mostly did the other side.
  17. Heading up to Blue tomorrow AM arriving around 10. I'll be most recognizable by a tan helmet and white poles and skiing with 2 little girls with a purple helmet and a bright green one. Probably mostly skiing greens and blues with them. Say hi if you see me.
  18. Nice! Any clear rte there from tpk?
  19. Correction 16" in E. MontCo. Just dug car out. How are NE ext and roads to BC or Blue today?
