I meant in terms of lots of n00bs being on all the trails and getting in your way. But yeah, sometimes I get that impression in general from this forum.
-
Buy new powder skis. Buy boot warmers. Buy a virtual coach. Pay for lessons. Buy longer skis. Jeez, you guys think I'm made of money or something.
-
They do, but at least at CB, the double black is always mostly empty, whereas Honeymoon (green) is filled with wall-to-wall people at peak times. I have no idea how Blue compares.
-
Wow, I had no idea something like this existed. Thanks for sharing.
-
Not sure if you guys know this, but I think I should tell you that I'm just a little bit stubborn in RL too.
-
Nah man, I was at work all day. This forum is so busy today I just started searching for "salty" to see who's taking my name in vain today. Fortunately this post isn't appear to be too much of a ding against me, so I'll award you with one like.
-
I was just going to post the same thing, not even joking. That "in" gif with the dude getting in the car was the funniest thing I've seen all year.
-
True. But If I become a "terminal low intermediate" as Steeze calls it, I'll still be happy because I can ski slopes where complete n00bs dont dare to venture, and that way I can enjoy skiing without playing frogger (dodging the hoards of people). I Would like to learn bumps but I havent had much of a chance to try them yet this year. Soon....
-
Yeah it's fun to see improvement regardless. Since one day in the distant future I may head west, a lesson would definitely help.
-
Aw now thats not true Steeze. He doesn't just make fun of me. Ive seen him make fun of you too.
-
It would definitely help, but honestly I can proficiently ski any hill in the Poconos and that's where I spend 95% of my time so at what point does it really matter anymore what my purported skill level is?
-
Steeze objectively rates me "low level intermediate" so I'm not sure what impact that has.
-
I'm two inches taller than you and built like a twig but apparently I made the worst decision in my life and my skiing future is over.
-
Thanks Wow those 177 widths are nice. I can use them in extreme deep pow. Did you know If you press alt and f4 at the same time it will change the color scheme?
-
Thanks for the encouragement. I've been taking a beating on here since my unfortunate purchase, but the negativity is just not translating to my time spent on the slopes. I've had the best 4 days of skiing ever on my new RTMs.
-
I made approximately 155 runs on my short short 170's and havent even fallen one time. They are truly great skis. Wow you're on 171's? According to this forum you must be 5 foot 5.
-
Hey, at least this forum has some good 170 jokes in store for the next few days. I'm happy that my forgetting to check the length prior to swiping my credit card due to overwhelming excitement for new RTMs has brought joy to so many.
-
Wow no wonder eaf thinks you guys are all professional skiers.
-
I'll have an alcoholic cider or hard lemonade every few years to celebrate a special occaision, such as winning a freestyle competition. So either of those are fine. By the way, uploaded my stats and I'm in first place for vert and runs, so winning this competition is pretty much guaranteed. If anyone wants to audit my stats I have Ski Tracks gpx files as 100% proof.

Thanks Dan, that synopsis was very helpful. Next year I'll look for a black Friday deal for JF like eaf did and save the lift passes for when the glades are good. -
Hey ask the mods. I'm just messing, I have no authority on here. I just find it comical that my CB TR somehow goes from CB to a debate over Russian politics.
-
Take it to the Russian Politics thread.

For me the $399 rate is only good for one more season. -

I didn't count them but he made quite a few turns, and kept his speed well under control, instead of just flying down like I did on steep slopes when I started. -

Sorry Steeze, I missed 2 consecutive TRs so hopefully you still had reason to VU (vape up).
