  1. So it seems that there may be basically four reasons to just lurk:
    - leech local news and info on e.g. conditions, hours and deals (doesn't apply)
    - get some coaching on skiing or gear (again a miss)
    - hang around because you know someone in person
    - use the site as a reality TV show (you know, what are those psychos up to now?)
    Is there a fifth?

Probably wanting to know if it was a PASR that “cut them off” under the six pack. (Hint: he didn’t)

  2. When I was younger I was really into aviation. Not as much anymore, but I'll get into it every now and then when I fly. Reinstalled Flight Simulator X and made a couple flights... though I have to speed up the simulation rate during the boring parts.

Never got serious in flight sims but tried a couple. ABE/LVIA as a kid was fun to hang out at the OG Wawa (without gas) or Gregory’s to watch planes land. I enjoy the air show they have had recently too. Hard to get a bad seat.

Now with flight radar just watching the major cities and the amount of traffic is exciting. It’s impressive with the volume they have to deal with.

  3. Hey all. Got the terrible news sent to me by a couple people so I figured I’d pop back on.
Ive officially made the decision to start wearing a helmet the next time I ride. After 15ish years of riding and having my first “real” injury on a snow or skateboard it’s put some things in perspective. Not to mention I saw first hand a head trauma injury (I believe) in the ski patrol shack when I was in there and it was very frightening.
Currently taking a lil break from PASR because it’s tough to read when I can’t ride. Sorry, just being honest. I still pop on every couple days to catch up. Keep rippin!:rock

Miss you up there buddy. Glad to hear your getting the helmet. Heal up and we’ll be riding together before you know it.

  4. I wouldn’t be surprised and statistically speaking blue should have a single death about once every 2-3 seasons as there is about one death per one million skier visits and Blue does around 400k annually.

Came across an article today about skiing related deaths. The ten year average is .69 deaths per million visitors (from their data) so Blue is obviously way above average.

  5. Fun morning. Was up for first chair and skied til almost 11. The snow was more firm then yesterday but less wind and lift lines were mild. Challenge was rough but everything else was firm and grippy. NM/DW opened around 10 but Razor’s was closed for a race. Johnny Law, TP4, Shif, MattEdge, Indiggo, GSSucks, Justo, Rose, KT, and Ty were in attendance. Hung in the lot for a beer and dipped out around 1130.

Probably not as fun as JHMR this morning though! #jhdreaming

  6. Was on the snow 8-10. A bit nippy compared to the spring weather yesterday but the snow was good and blue sky’s. They had the quad was running at opening so no big lift lines. Switchback was my ROTD.

  8.

Arrived at Lower lot to cloudy and 38°. On the snow at 8:40 and first run down Main Street. Smooth wet snow. Caught up to TP4 after the first run and rode together until I left at 10:10. It was empty and we rode right on to the left every run. Razors was the only run I didn’t do cause TP4 said it wasn’t worth it compared to everything else.

Up top was in the clouds and had to slow it up a bit until I got half way down and could see. Felt like it was going to burn off but it never did.

Snow felt like end of March. Soft and wet.

Saw Roots car in the lot when I left but never caught up with him on the snow.

    On to Elk tomorrow.
