Do either Epic or Ikon offer the rest of this season too?

In my research on the Ikon, you get the rest of this season at resorts owned by Alterra.  So, Stratton and Sugarbush in VT.  This was based on last years pass, so, there could be some changes this year.

That's not terrible. I'm interested in seeing the Ikon pass prices before making any decisions

Im gonna need some pretty serious spreadsheets to figure this out.  Runs per hour/miles driven X cost of cocoa(x2).  There needs to be a lot of columns to break this down properly.

Woke up pretty optimistic hearing nothing on the roof. Unfortunately, my location was just in a dry pocket. Looks like things will get worse after 8. Sitting this one out unless there is some decent change to no rain before 10. Doubtful

Same - i usually here rain on my roof.  apparently i dont hear sleet hitting my roof.  woke up to a nice layer of frozen precip, and called it.  i hate it when i get stuck inside on a Saturday.  kinda thinking if it quits early afternoon, i might make a go of it.

I’ll buy it on 4/1…payment plan and again prob not use my gift card or buddy pass.

I went ahead and renewed since the only difference between now and then is when you spend the $69 deposit.

So @AtomicSkiers words about waiting on a better season pass option resonated with me. I went to re-up and got this…wtf?

Dont worry, you cant even buy a "new" season pass from their website.

Haha and I feel like our season has been about the same length every year.  Early December to late March.  She a few random early April and late November days.

i agree with this.  How many times has Blue been open past Easter?  i think i have had a season pass for about 10 years now, and i can only come up with that one year they were open until mid April.

I'll curse them if they don't make it into April. At least, this is my plan, and they'd better abide by it.

But you've got to admit, they had a tremendous come back after a pretty lousy and depressing start this year. Jeez, that Paradise opened so late and hardly half of its usual width. Now it's thick and wide, and they stashed mounds of snow on NMDW. I anticipate a lovely and crowdless March. Best time of the year.

Winter will need to show up again big time to make it to April.
im with dougcheesesandwich on the 24th being the latest they will be open. Sorry to be the debbie downer, but really thinking they will be open in april is setting yourself up for disappointment.

That's a hell of a price. Hunter sold to Peak Resorts for 36 million in 2015. If that's true I would have to guess there's a bunch of land that came with it.

The largest parcel, and the area with the slopes on the right middle is "Elk Mountain Ski Center"

There are 3 other large parcels bordering that belonging to "moores motor inc", from gladwyne, and if im not mistaken, thats the family that owns it?  or am i dreaming that one up?  Also another parcel owned by Elk Herrick Properties from Gladwyne as well. So, if all of that property is "Elk", then yes.  lots of land.  GIS is fun.

Still all 100% lift ride rumors.

  10. Remember in 2020 when the rumor was Kalahari bought them?

It would actually make some sense to turn it into a Kalahari type place.  i mean, theres a ton of vacant land around it, but who knows if it is usable, or owned by those miserable people near the base.

There was a Facebook post about a husband and wife who have been scanning tickets at Jack Frost since 1999.  They have those handheld scanners..you’d think by now Vail would put in a turnstyle system but I sort of was glad seeing they still do it old school to keep a few more folks employed.

I wonder if they are Scan-din-avian…get scanned in check your din and avian is something haven’t you heard..add in the flu you have a sick bird..

I think i went to jf twice on my epic pass, like when blue didnt open for rain, or they closed for the season. I definitely was not scanned once.
