It's going to be pretty hard to beat Aspen. The Roaring Fork Transit Authority (RFTA)is free for the places that you want to go to. Hard to beat free.

Do I owe you one now for that Stowe trip?

September 18th was the deadline for the early bird passes. I saved tons by purchasing early. I committed myself real early this year but I think it will work out in the long run. At least I have a goal now.

I am specifically coming back for that. I even bought some new racing goodies. Don't forget the Monday night team coach!

All sound advice. I have been making this journey my whole life so I am ready for it. I like three days with a stop in Indiana after day 1, a stop in Kansas after day 2 and my bed in Aspen by the end of day three. I used to make this journey in the Winter and sleep in my car along the intersate and cook food in the car. Those days are long gone. I'm looking forward to taking the S4 out West. My schedule is real open right now. I'll take off sometime after Thanksgiving and spend as much time out there as work and family allow. Ill be back at Blue for January and February racing and everyday skiing so I will see you all again. After that, back to Aspen for the Spring.

Driving mostly. I will be taking an extended stay out West this year and will need a vehicle while I am out there.

I renewed my pass to Blue mountain way back in the Spring when they were still $475. Today I just dropped the hammer on a season pass to Aspen. Living the dream. This upcoming season should be an interesting one.

I already have the pass so I will be at Blue next year. Other than that I will be hitting up Aspen Snowmass. That's it.

For what it is worth, last Christmas week sucked big time. Does anybody else remember the day after Christmas?

I am totally about this, but just not next week. I want to wait a few more weeks for the snow to settle down. If for some reason your plans fall through, or you just want to go again in May, let me know.

We are all safe, well and having a great time in Stowe. If anything we are all a bit exhausted from the skiing. For some reason Grilled Steeze Sandwich doesn't want to use the computer in his hotel lobby and that is why all is quiet in this thread. He is the only one who can give this trip report any flavor so I will respectfully defer to his trip report to be typed later. I don't even know what the trails are called except for "Goat." Anyway, in the meantime here is some stoke to float your boat.

I'm in. 8.5 hours with major traffic from Philly till Atown. Jesus, the cops are insane tonight! The VT cops were fucking taunting me on the way up (just pinging me for miles, until I made an evasive maneuver). I'm fried from the drive, it's going to take me some time to wind down. I might not make your meeting time. I'll see what happens. I'm packing tonight. I didn't book yet only because expedia makes you prepay to get the $69/day rate. I'll book before the end of the day. I'm on my way...

Thanks for the info. Golden Eagle has $69/day rates if you book and pay in advance through Expedia. I'll wait one more day on the weather, decide, and then book it.

Looks like the T&C is full this weekend except for their four room chalet. Looking at alternatives now including the Golden Eagle. Other suggestions would be appreciated as I don't know the area.
