According to my car, 20 minutes from blue but within eye sight, it’s 81.

Fun morning. The valley was deceiving temp wise early on as, on the lift ride up about half way up, it felt like the beach. Fun spring ski day regardless and the amount of snow still on the mountain, on March 29th (while others are now closed for the season), is downright impressive. Blue does a really nice job of pushing snow around. Will be interesting to see what tomorrow looks like after 80 degrees today.

Happened to me at killington a long time ago. Waited about an hour on the k1 chair. Once it started moving they had people handing out vouchers a the top redeemable for a free soft drink. A free latte from first tracks would have been a nice gesture for you guys

I must say that I love the “we’re gonna go as long as we can” approach. Reminds me of old school killington.

Not to be a negative Nelly but I'm still predicting that they close after Sunday
-
I’m predicting that they pull the plug on Sunday. If so I’m more than good with it

For @AtomicSkier you'd probably want to drop the one minute from the downhill time.

Awesome day today... @enjoralas you, sir, are a king. We may ski on a tiny bump in PA, but we have the best crew anywhere!
-
I appreciate the northern lights heads up posts @AirheadD8. Do you know what time. Can't really tell from the screenshot

Way better than expected today. What's open has way better coverage than I anticipated. Props to blue...not only for the snow pack but for the litter clean up efforts. It's not fully cleaned but it's clear they made the effort. 65 to 70% is gone and it looks way better. But the good news doesn't end there. There are now no littering signs and trash cans at the entrance to each lift. All positive steps and keep up the good work there Blue! Back to the skiing...runs of the day for me were para weaver and the three runs through sleepy hollow to lower main. Sleepy hollow has a sliver in and a sliver out but if you go too low you had to ski through dirt or do you best Van Halen and Jump. Kept things interesting.Overall happy with conditions considering it's March 22nd.

3/21-23 weekend roll call thread.

How's coverage and did they clean up the trash?
-
I feel that way every time I ski there
-
When I was a teenager working in a supermarket I had to do much worse like push carts and clean bathrooms. Trust me I would've much rather been on a mountain picking up cans
-
At the very least send folks to clean around the stupid funnels. More people miss the funnels than they actually get it in. At best it's 50/50 and the piles of trash surrounding the trash funnels is absurd. I swear to God Oscar the Grouch is gonna pop out of that mess all angry at us one day when we're skiing.

Not at Belle. Not sure about the others I've never seen anything like blues garbage anywhere
-
Just grabbed a power pass.
-
Mountain Creek has the signs threatening to lose your pass if you litter pretty much everywhere, and while there was some trash when I was there a week ago. it was nothing compared to blue. Put up signs and enforce it.
-
That would be nice if true. Reality is they don’t wanna lose money
-
Deluge out there.
-
Camelback is open 9 to 5 tomorrow. Assuming that’ll be their hours this week
-
Better yesterday both visibility wise and conditions wise. still a fun day. Blue mountain if you’re reading this, the litter conditions under each chair from top to bottom is out of control. The trash base now rivals the snow base at this point. it’s embarrassing and shows a lack of pride or caring; and at this point the only thing I can deduce is that you simply don’t care about your hill looking like a landfill. Perhaps consider taking this upcoming week / spring temperatures to conduct a massive cleanup operation. Recycle the beer cans and use the money you make to invest in do not litter signs. #PickUpPA.

The Ides of March 2025…foggy/soft
RidgeRacer replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
Get out and ski it before the fog and rain make it disappear
