Probably I didn't head over to the other side of the Mt. until 6:30.

Cliffhanger was tonight.

Just back from a VERY nice evening at CB. I got my ticket and headed for the Sullivan lift for a run on Margies. The snow was your typical spring surface....ungroomed and soft "mashed potatoes"... sweet! It's a good thing Camelback isn't closing because it would be a shame to waste the crazy amount of snow they still have. Next run I made my way across the Mt to the Stevenson and lapped Pharaoh and Cliffhanger for the next hour or so and found more of the same soft snow. Cliffhanger was awesome tonight. There was some serious spray from carving wide turns on the headwall and it was fun getting air especially at the bottom of the trail. Pharaoh had a thin spot and some of the cross over trails were a bit thin but nothing major at all. I made my way back over to the Sullivan for a few runs on the "front four". Around 6:30 or so the snow was beginning to firm up a little. Margies began to show a little ice, again nothing major. Overall tonight was a top notch spring skiing session. As I mentioned they have a lot of snow and should be fine for next weekend.

Light gray pants, grey hoodie jacket. I was the fool without gloves (I forgot them at home). At first it wasn't too bad but by the time I left my hands were practically numb.

Nice TR R2 but, seriously, there wasn't a better comparison for the snow?

Just back from a fun 2 hour session at Big Boulder. I got there around 6pm to clear skies and semi warm temps although dropping (lower 30's when I left). I met up with Smartass was also in the house and we first headed up the Merry Widow lift to Mittl -Weg. The snow is really hard and frozen pretty much everywhere....not the best but it definitely could have been worse. We were hoping for some soft spring snow...never happened. Frozen cord was to be found on all trails with a few ungroomed frozen spots to keep an eye out for. The best thing about the snow is that there is still plenty of it. The base is still huge in spots and there's no thin or bare spots that I noticed. We lapped the Big Boulder chair for a while before calling it a night. Overall not a bad 1st day of spring.

I had lots of fun skiing with PASR's this year at Frost. I'm glad you switched over to JF this year, PC. Next season, complete with the elevator, will no doubt be even better.

I just got back from a warm and fun spring skiing session at Big Boulder. They still have enough base to last well into April, no thin or bare spots to speak of. The snow was inconsistent, soft in spots and hard in others...lots of fun to carve on. I ended up lapping Drauf, Mittl, Boulder Park and Snowdrift for the most part. By the way R2, what is glacier ice? Wasn't heavy at all. In fact I was hoping for heavier.

With all the PASR's at Blue that's pretty amazing.

Holy spring skiing Batman...41 runs just may be a Jack Frost single day record.

The 468 is worth it if you stay 3 days or so. By the way my hat goes off to you for having 22 days in and living so far away. That's pretty awesome.

I should be there probably around 9 or 9:30. I'm definitely there for the free lunch.

I made my reservation for Sunday's passholder's party. Lunch is from 11:30 to 1pm in the Cantina.

It was a little sticky up top but on the actual headwall it was cut up man made powder...good stuff.

Just back from a fun night at CB. I decided to pass up Boulder to take advantage of CB's free ticket for other Mt. pass holders (Thank you Camelback). I got my ticket and hit the Sullivan. On the way up I noticed that they still have a lot of snow with a pretty huge base in some spots. I made my first run on the Asp and found lots of sugar with ice, then over to The Rocket...same thing so I decided to see how it was over on the East side of the Mt. for a few runs on one of my favorite trails at CB ....The Pharaoh. Pharaoh was fun but icy still and Cliffy was more of the same. After making a few laps on both Pharaoh and Cliffhanger I decided to go back over to the west side. On the way over I noticed there was some nice snow on Honeymoon Lane. I made my way up and hit Margies which was where best snow was. Margies was ungroomed (small bumps) with SWEET man made powder...easily the best trail on the Mt. tonight. I lapped the Sullivan for the rest of the night to ski Margies and also made a run down Big Pocono which was also better than the rest of the Mt. Overall not a bad night despite some icy spots. I didn't mind it too much and that will likely be better by tomorrow. Kudos to Camelback for still blowing snow and a pretty deep base. They'll probably go well into April.

I didn't get anything. I found out about it through here. I just asked tonight when I got my lift ticket. Did they mail something?
