Welp I’m out of work

I would say more than usual, but nothing drastic. Saturday’s customers were pretty serious, today seemed more like people coming in with their kids looking to drive mustangs and raptors

In general no, but occasionally we’ll have a busy day. Last week was super dead during the week, but Saturday was very busy. Monday and Tuesday this week were super dead, but today we were getting some walk ins. We are thinking maybe people are starting to get stir crazy and just going out anyway

i didnt realize i could collect umemployment if I am still employed, just at half hours

as of now we have been given zero information since this all went down. rumor has it today we are being informed of switching to half shifts and half pay.

im trying not to shake hands but most people still want to

to clarify, people were not mad with the general idea of a child being here. co-workers bring their kids into work all the time. people were mad that a child came in during this time, as they said childeren are germ incubators. personally i was fine with it and dont have a problem with kids being here. what sucks is when co workers say something like "Watch my kid for me" or "Do you know where my kid is" (one guy says both these things everytime he brings his kid in)

While I agree with quarantining and the serious health implications, I truly believe the loss of life from the economic crisis will be higher than the loss of life from the virus itself.

im very surprised, as we were dead every day earlier this week. believe it or not there is no rhyme, reason, or pattern why people show up to the dealership when they do. sometimes, its a beatiful day and noboday comes, other days we are packed on beautiful days. sometimes we get super crowded when it rains, other times we are dead. guys who have been doing this 30+ years tell me they still havent figured out why people decide to come in when they do. traditionally march was a good month cause people are getting their tax checks back, but this march not so much
