  1. I saw a guy go under a lift at seven springs. The lifty didn't stop it he just screamed to stay down until the lift cleared him lol.

That happened yesterday with a kid coming off the 6-pack.

He bit it right off and I told him to stay low. He had no chance of getting out of the way of the chair. Chair just missed clunking him in the head before lifty stopped it.

Was just like a Warren Miller movie. You want your ski? Go get it!

  2. Didn't mean to create a fire storm with this but my first pair of skis where integrated so I'm stepping in uncharted water here. Thanks for all the insight. I'm down to the following: Look pivot 14 Salomon Sth 14 Rossi fks 140 Rossi axial2 120 Probably going to grab off of backcountry.com since most local shops aren't carrying. Not to start another war but any suggestions for a shop to mount them. Only close options are buckmans and salters. Pricing seems to swing a good bit between each so

I've had some good luck with these guys.

Beat them up a little and they'll give you a good price.

They'll also mount bindings, but say that you need to have them set/checked locally after you receive em.

  3. I saw that happen with a group of Asians...funny cause I thought they were good at math.

Guess it's better than when there's only 1 or 2 on a chair with the placed packed to the brim!

Also funny was when I watched a Ski Patroller get whaled by one of the double chairs. The lifty just shook his head in amazement...

  4. I've been skiing Marker's the past two skis and have not had any problems with them either.

I currently love Line skis as the guy who started it came from the east coast, so he should know a thing or two about making skis that work around here.

  5. The crazy part is its nothing right I mean its like a 1/8 of inch but my brain notices and I don't like it.....humans are funny animals...

I'm so picky, it's a wonder I've ever found a boot that fits just right.

My current boot's shells are cracking and the liners are packed out. Time for the inevitable...

  6. Its great. They dress in authentic German clothes and have all German food and beer. One day I had Spatzl, and another I had a big old bratwurst with all the fixins. 32 oz Spaten Optimators and Franziskaner Hefeweizens to wash it all down.

    So jealous!

Motorcycle riding is insane we do so many tombstones for bike crash victims.

It's not me I'm worried about, it's everyone else texting/talking/eating/drinking/reading/makeuping while driving that I have to watch out for.
  8. Blue should have a glade cutting day. Just let people come up and thin out some trees. I would gladly do it for free, but they don't see that. Last year they had a day where people could come up and do trail work for the mountain bike trails and they asked for people to send in resumes with previous trail work. wtf? free help is free help.

Woo Hoo! I'd even buy a new chain for the saw!

Probably lawyers got involved and put the kibash on it...

  9. This place gets so crowded on weekends already, one shudders to think what it will be like if they make it more enticing with condos, etc. Not sure condos/hotel are that great a fit for a mountain this size anyway, I tend to have skied everything interesting a few times already in one day and look forward to skiing somewhere else the next day.

Right! Blue may end up being a victim of their own success, if it's so crowded it drives people away...

I'll surely be doing more after work skiing, if the weekends get beyond out of control.
