  1. That was most unexpected. The robot is probably a toy from 50-60s, I've never seen it, but Karlson is easily recognizable.
  2. Pfffft. I was repeating over and over again that snow is not guaranteed at MC. That's why I never took that $230 season pass. But it was good while it lasted. Glad the first three visits were timed right!
  3. Yeah, I would agree with that. If they didn't close due to "inclement weather" on a perfectly normal Wed all while continuing to run through the rain till 8pm on Tue.
  4. Seeee? Those bastards! Can't wait to deliver the bill in person this weekend!
  5. Talking about Blue that has tons of snow but cheaped out?
  6. LOL. It's the bunny hill. The only ok place out there. I looped it like 10 times. Reminded me of early fall skiing on the only trail at BB.
  7. Never take your equipment off, preached @AtomicSkier another day.
  8. The whole mountain is like this. IDK how they dare to call these trails open.
  9. How? Easily! Because they chose to save a few bucks in decent weather, it forced me to use the last ticket on MC... I freaking knew that MC is consistently sucking in spring, but since their snow report was saying otherwise, figured I'd give them a chance anyway... Well, got no surprise on the slopes, but since it was kind of expected, can't really blame MC. BM on the other hand is what really let me down here. So I demand a share of those pennies that they've saved to fix the damn skis!
  10. So couldn't you have rented some awesome Elons since you were there anyway?? Or tip lift attendants for braving the night rain? Then I wouldn't have to search for alternative destinations today.
  11. Where is the logic in that?? Tomorrow was going to be just cloudy!
  12. I guess the real question here is whether you'll be able to haul skis, boots along with other luggage with you. Kinda needs both hands strong to do that.
  13. Looks like it's gonna be raining tonight starting with 5pm... I'm switching over to Wed then.
  14. I'd say that today was a quick recap of the season. It started winterishly fast, hard, cold and snowy (at some point there was almost no vis due to how dense it fell), but once the sun showed up, conditions rapidly changed to soaked heavy mash, and so we kind of lived through the entire season on a fast forward.

Oh, so they weren't actually contributing to their tickets, they were contributing to yours?? And I was like reading yesterday's exchange and wondering all the time, where did the $10 come from if they allegedly could ski the rest of the year for free.
  16. It's Georgia, not US. Nobody's gonna or will be able to sue anybody.
  17. Many people in the comments raged about seeing so much footage made from so many angles. Everybody apparently was just standing there and taking shots of crashing chairs, with little or no attempt of warning those who were still incoming. And this comment by a Belorussian snowboarder from the article is what I think most of those bystanders were using as an excuse for themselves after the fact... "They were all jumping to safety, so we just took our time shooting the process." "The 32-year-old, who was there with friends, said they jumped and once on the ground took video of other people jumping to safety"
  18. He won't dare. Everybody knows he won only because of Russian hackers.
  19. Yeah, plenty of comments there about how the sound is almost like a soundtrack from Final Destination. It looks like initially the lift was moving slowly and some people actually made it through the turn and started going back up. Then it sped up, a chair got stuck, and the massacre began.

  21. It hardened up nicely, quite smooth in most of the areas. I changed to SL skis for the last few runs, and that absolutely murdered my legs. But hey, I haven't been this warm all day
  22. Was awesome today. Deserted, soft packed snow, skiable all over equally well. Generally partly cloudy, at some point a big cloud came out of nowhere, wind picked up, and snow started to fall for like 5 mins. Incidentally at this very moment the quad stopped, and there I was swaying in the wind and snow. Six pack is closed and according to other people was closed all day long despite more people in the morning hours.
  23. You should hold on to your anniversary run until they open the pool. Then it's gonna be epic. You speeding up and then gliding over the water surface to the other end with confidence, smile and a GoPro on the helmet, cheered to by the crowds jealous of your RTMs. Also will get a t-shirt, but that's minor.
  24. Yeah, you guys know how to have good time on the mountain! Attack the slopes and then go back to the base under the open skies. Beats the lodge and the hassle of the crowd inside hands down.
