  1. Hey All, I'm back from day one at Blue mountain the true mountain. Was up early like a kid on Xmas morning and stopped at the McDonald's on 145 for a sausage biscuit, hash brown and apple juice and ended up in the upper lot of Blue mountain the true mountain around 7:55am. In the house today we're Atomic Jeff, Shadows, Enjorales, Root, MBikr Mike, JFDan, PARidge, Kevin, Gary, Gary, Mrs Snowbunski, indiggio, Gary, IceEchilan, SandyAnt and many others. The lineup was pretty low key at the rope drop Atomic Jeff was first down I was second and my pass didn't work so I got it semi resolved in the lodge then mainly lapped nice early season snow on easy out to vista to midway to lower Main Street or come around to midway to lower Main Street. The lift stopped a few times. Sometimes for pretty long. The beers were cold midway was spicy and lower Main Street was smooth and chalky
  2. Everybody make sure they remember everything. I really hope my season pass works. If anybody is chilly Root will be giving out free hugs.
  3. Wow they haven't even started blowing snow in tubing at Blue mountain..they are using all their snowmaking firepower on ski runs. WTF Blue...just playing you're my boy Blue..ski you tomorrow.
  4. They always open with just the upper lodge and Main Street chair, Burma chair and vista lift. Behave eaf or no pumpkin pie for you.
  5. The temperature is dropping fast. Guns should be back on by 8pm
  6. Best I've ever done off the six pack at Blue is 8 in an hour...ever since they added the RFID turnstyles 7 is more likely. 5 up two down max. Pretty impossible to do over 7 an hour unless the lift doesn't stop so really only the first hour or a real empty day that's possible. Usually first two hours at Blue on a weekend on 7-6 the first two hours or 7-5. Very rare to not be able to get 4-5 runs an hour in with moderate lifelines although I'm usually in the parking lot or at home if it's really crowded.

  8. Yeah it's a surreal feeling. I don't even know how to dress tomorrow. Purple polo shirt still around four years later..
  9. One flight of steps down from drop off row..it's a pretty wide row. Row three is narrow. First row is the same row as lodge.
  10. I didn't think the place would be as nice as it is but it's only one year old. And my room is divided up into like four sections which is great. Makes it feel larger even though it's only 300 square feet. Laundry is better than any apartment I've lived in and takes credit cards..parking is great only carrying a key card around is great and despite being near 78 and 22 it's so quiet. I've had like two nights total out of 8 weeks with loud people above me
  11. Hell yeah it's all about the base!!!!
  12. You can easily get that much vertical in 4 hours of only groomers at stowe or Jackson hole.
  13. Was that mostly on the lift that's in the front the Sullivan
  14. Reminds me of Boston Bob a Stowe regular who only skis liftline and only rides the quad and skis Mach schnell every run..he's done 100k vert days at Stowe. Also is known to ski shirtless in th spring and he has a pudgy physique.
  15. Nice you'll be easy to spot. I'm arriving around 750am second row past the steps..probably be on my fat skis to plow through the cookies.
  16. That's why you can call me Bob Dylan cause I'm tangled up in Blue. It's like the song by the Romantics What I Like about Blue or the song by Robin Thicke I'm Lost Without Blue..I'm Blue ba da Dee badda da im like an unpaid brand ambassador to Blue mountain, Jackson Hole as well and everywhere else that I like. I even wrote a five star review for the hotel I live in because it exceeded my expectations in terms of value, cleanliness, being modern and friendly staff.
