  1. This is where the pandemic takes an interesting twist. 25 months in and I’m still laughing.
  2. I miss seeing faceshields around. They were rad. Early in the pandemic some of the vendors at the allentown farmers market wore them.
  3. Yeah that rule of only removing mask while actively eating and drinking on planes became extinct like the Dodo bird...I definitely can make a 1/2 ounce bag of pretzels and a 4 ounce soda last me 25 minutes solid on a plane... Covid is still very real and I’m sure there will be many other variants. It’s just crazy the hypocrisy many have. It’s just the risk/reward...early in the pandemic I freaked out at somebody at the grocery store who was standing like 3 feet behind me in line at a store and remember telling a Blue collar looking guy at a mini market(put on a fucking mask)...yeah not the first time I’ve stuck my hands in the lions cage. Aside from all the drama most of us got to ski plenty during the pandemic. The worst parts of the pandemic were the 2019-2020 ski season abrupting coming to an end, doing almost no business the first 6 weeks, my social life went to shit and initially I had some fear of catching it. Best parts were all the discussion, news, polarization and drama. I’ll have more ruminations from my Colorado trip later but I have to count money and respond to 6 work days worth of voicemails. Cheers
  4. Exactly...you just have to remove it briefly going through security so they can ID you. I miss the old mask memes. One thing I noticed on the plane yesterday was a lot more coughing and sneezing. It is allergy season and the Flu is bad right now in PA or maybe the coughs and sneezes weren’t muffled by masks.
  5. Hmmmm who skied more this past season???
  6. People are still allowed to wear masks on planes if they want to.
  7. I don’t even wear polo shirts to work anymore.
  8. My previous ones last from 1-2 years.
  9. Did anybody see that they’re opening a Margaritaville resort in the Poconos?? I know there are some jimmy Buffett fans lurking.
  10. I’m in the four year old iPhone class.
  11. The Sandy V’s don’t want Covid to end. There was some tweet from a doctor who had to fly today with his pregnant wife and four year old unvaccinated kid expressing his disappointment.
  12. I’m doing my best BenM impression driving on the Blue route past Didley park rocking out to Aerosmith.
  13. Just landed in Philly wow was it amazing once again having a skinny girl in middle seat(I’m always window) and no mask. One or two of FAs were still wearing masks and many of the TSA but they’re mostly minorities. Amoung the passengers, men my age least likely and a lot of girls a bit younger than me and some guys probably with hairy vaginas were wearing masks plus boomer couples.
  14. They are looking for somebody to volunteer and give up their first class seat in exchange for a middle seat economy plus. Only $500 is extra credit.
  15. I think it depends on the person. Like 1/4 or those that live at sea level get it when going into the higher mountains but only like 6-7% of people like Barb that live at a mile high already get it. I never had a yeast infection so I have that going for me.
  16. I think cigs might help lol look at Johnny Law he’s a beast.
  17. Lucky let’s hope for some may snow.
  18. It’s called elevation.
  19. Congrats Kyle. There’s some good skiing in Virginia..check out Massanutten
  20. Almost every trip to Colorado I get altitude sickness and I never get it in Jackson hole but the majority of the time I spend at JH is at 6k feet in the valley and usually like 8-9500k when skiing while in Colorado I stay at almost 9k feet and ski at like 10-11k+
  21. Excellent news is masks are no longer required on most airlines. It probably will still be required in the philly airport.
  22. Yesterday at Loveland, my ears started bugging me and I was feeling especially light headed. Just the walk from the middle of the parking lot to the ticket office had me sucking serious wind. I slept a lot last night then this morning I was dry heaving pretty bad and went back to sleep until 10am. I decided to take a rare day of today and I wasn’t that upset about it. I had five nice days including four pow days and and didn’t want to end this season feeling like poop. I left the comfort suites in silverthorne right before 11am and was at the Hyatt place by the Denver airport by 1230pm. Was just amazing I made it like four days into this trip before altitude sickness hit me. Sometimes it’s 1-2 days into the trip. I tried my best to stay hydrated and didn’t drink much alcohol this trip. So two years in a row, I have the same amount of ski days as the famous BenM. The only picture i took today was from my suite at Comfort suites before I went back to sleep. JADIP
