18/19 Season Pass $399
GrilledSteezeSandwich replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
I don't think Blue should spend the money on a new lower lodge. The lower lodge is very utilitarian which I like. If they build a hotel I don't think it needs to be fancy like most ski resort hotels...they can save the money on the chandeliers, fountains and 1800s mountain lodge motif and spend that money for snowmaking on lights on Barbs Bush aka Coming soon. -

Second homes/vacation homes generally are empty most of the year. -
What are conditions like. I just woke up from a nap. I needed to make up for a party rocking influenced sleep deficit.

She should just stay logged in all the time like I do. I only log in to Facebook and PASR when I get a new phone. Sounds like my dad who says he'll email someone from his iPad.

I'll probably be retired before there's a hotel at Blue. It's out of my price range any ah even if it was only $100 a night all in. -

You need backup in case you lose a disc -

You can buy discs fairly cheap at Dicks sporting good or I'm sure cheaper online. As far as sports go the amount of equipment needed is very minimal. I used to disc golf regularly when I lived in Montana and a little bit at the Jordan course and Lehigh Parkway. It's fairly similar to regular golf, shuffleboard and pool in that it involves a lot of muscle memory. -

Is there a market for that? I see a lot of infrastructure needed for that like new roads. I don't know if that land is zoned residential. -

I'd actually buy a one bedroom condo in Allentown cash one day if the price was right. Most are 2+ bedrooms. -

It wouldn't be right. Would likely be 2-3 times what I pay. I also drive to work a lot more times in a year than I drive to skiing and there's not a dozen restaurants within a mile of Blue like where I live or college girls or karaoke at multiple venues within 5 miles. I would possibly stay there a few times though. I sort of want to stay at the Renaissance hotel in downtown Allentown sometime for shits and giggles and the hotel Bethlehem and Hyatt place center city Bethlehem for shits and giggles. Would be a fun and extremely drunken staycation. -

What do you think the market price for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo would be at Blue? New construction isn't cheap...I'm thinking in the high 200s.. -

The guy Ricky we met in the lot Tuesday night was saying the full disc golf course is pretty badass. -

They should just build a regular hotel and have a hotel management company run and operate it. It doesn't have to be a crazy Camelback/Kalahari type place..4 stories or so with mainly basic rooms and some family style suites. I was a little excited for the condo launch party in the Vista ballroom..I imagine a pretty nice spread of Hors D'oerves maybe even mini beef wellingtons and prawns. Bravo could even round up a few of the local Lehigh valley and Pocono realtors and have a show called $100,000 dollar listing Carbon county edition..after a big sale and a $3100 commission they could show the realtors celebrating at the Last Run lounge over buffalo shrimp and IPAs. -
When do you leave for Colorado?

Yes but things change

I have no idea...I only have one blazer that I've never worn before. I bought it for $80 at Kohls when I went to a wedding last summer but it was 85 degrees out so I just held it like a prop.. -

If Blue can claim a six month long ski season, it will make them look really good when Vail puts in an offer. If they're open in April and can open Root Friday again this fall and stay open until April in 2019 they can claim that they offered skiing and riding 12 out of 18 months..that's major..and usually when something is major I ask that you hit me on my pager

Oh you know..you're an old hip hop head..probably were cranking some Soulja boy or pretty Ricky on the drive up to blue. -
I've always gained weight on ski trips to Vermont while ski trips out west I never do. I like that little play on words words I remember once I was gonna go to red lobster but when I got there the weight was long..I was one of the thinnest people there. Must have been endless shrimp month. People wait all year for that and the employees have pep talks by former college football coaches to get them hyped up for hell month.
