  1. Big cottonwood canyon and little cottonwood canyon
  2. JH isn't always convenient. In 2009 my flight from Chicago to Jackson hole ended up in Denver..with no flights available from Denver to JH for two days. I ended up renting a car and driving the 540 miles to Jackson hole second half of drive in a snowstorm and made it to Jackson at like 5am. I didn't miss any skiing just sleep and the one way rental was over $300. In 2015 I flew direct Newark to Jackson on the way..flight took the normal 4+ hours. On the way home I flew Jackson to Denver to Newark and was stuck in Denver for a night and then next day Denver to Newark flight was cancelled due to snowstorm on east coast so flew to DC..spent the night at my parents house in Arlington then on the third day flew D.C. to Newark flight was delayed like 6 hours and I returned to my car buried in snow..made a wrong turn and ended up in jersey city and then was pulled over by NJ state trooper for using a mobile device while driving. When it rains it pours. I like Jackson hole because it's consistently steep top to bottom, it snows a lot and every trip at the end I feel like I have unfinished business and have to return so I just have it in my yearly calendar last week of January when it's most likely to be uncrowded and powder filled. The town of Jackson and Teton village has changed a lot since my first visit in 2002...so much money has poured in, a four seasons was built, new Tram, new gondola, new high speed quads, new inbounds terrain, new lodges but same great mountain
  3. And didn't mean to slight TP4 when reporting snowfall. I watch the JH snow report everyday and webcams as well. TP4 you should have your family take you to the gunbarrel steakhouse and eat a big steak or wild game.
  4. My bad I looked up Newark and it showed New York lol. You definitely need to ski the Rocky Mountains. People travel from Europe and Australia to ski them. British people always used to travel to ski at Stowe in the spring time which I found odd.
  5. What makes Jackson hole so nice is that the airport is 8 miles from town and 20 from the mountain and all the driving is in the valley. When I do my skifari to Colorado next month it's a hour and a half drive to summit county on I-70 which goes from 5,000 feet to 11,000 feet at the Eisenhower tunnel and can sometimes be closed in snowstorms.
  6. Eaf where have you skied out west??
  7. I think I could make it to the Baltimore airport faster than JFK edit: actually 2 hours 8 minutes for JFK vs 2 hours and 30 minutes for Baltimore but it's a Sunday.
  8. You can fly jet blue direct Newark to Reno.
  9. When does everybody think we should have our end of season party? I'm thinking maybe the weekend of 3/10 and 3/11. They will likely stay open a bit later than that but should for sure be open that weekend. Any preference on Saturday over Sunday?? It needs to be a day when Root, NMSki and Enjorales are there.
  10. Perfect weather this week for it. Snow sets up a little but still stays soft and carvable. Looking at webcams they're good for another two weeks at least.
  11. Mammath is not having a big snow year like last year..direct flights where from JFK? JFK is not on my radar as an airport to use...way way too far away.
  12. They reopen tomorrow..normal week..race programs, trivia, I'm sure a few buses...
  13. You'll like steamboat. It's primarily intermediate terrain and there's entire pods of easy blues on the upper mountain. Steamboat is too far from Denver to get real crowded.
  14. Snowbird, Mammoth, Killington and Squaw valley are all open until May or later snow permitting.
  15. I don't remember the prize but I did receive a few savings bonds for perfect service. I didn't miss a house for several months straight until I had a substitute who missed a few.
  16. I think it's gonna snow next weekend at Blue mountain and Camelback. Could be wet snow but I still doubt that as perder even though a midgets fart won't displace an acr or it like cold smoke.
  17. No I did it on foot with a pullcart a bag...it was cool I had like $8,000 saved by the time I was 15 then I also worked at Rita's Italian ice, Wendy's, mowed lawns and did telemarketing late in high school and early in college. Funny this is the summer before college I saved up $4,000 from my telemarketing job and if I had put that in Amazon stock, it would be work $8 million today. http://articles.mcall.com/1995-06-08/news/3031718_1_ski-areas-carriers-call
  18. Nice I was a newspaper carrier for the morning call for 4 years. It's good to see you back posting on PASR a lot again. Looks like nice nightskiing weather this upcoming week. When are you coming up to Blue..or down to blue lol
  19. As many know Jackson hole is my favorite..Jackson and Aspen are the most elite resorts on the pass and I've only been to Aspen once for five days...I'd probably most likely avoid the Vermont areas because I don't like that drive and the crowds and conditions in Vermont. Mammoth and June mountains are too far off the beaten path and little places like eldora I don't have any interest in skiing. Alta and snowbird are on it as well..I'd like to hit those..never been to either..I've heard they're very crowded but easy access. Essentially two trips out west would pay for this pass.
  20. What Sunday paper do you read? NY Times? I didn't know people under age 60 still read the paper? I'm pooping right now. Wish I had a report of yours to read so I could SU
  21. Revelstoke is on there as well..that's somewhere me and Atomic Jeff have talked about hitting up..Big Sky as well but since I spent two years skiing there regularly I sort of have a been there done that attitude with BS and it doesn't hold a candle to JH
  22. Nope..
  23. I know you, your comment wasn't genuine.
  24. Copper, winter park, steamboat...maybe squaw valley.
  25. Salty are you up to anything fun today??
