Let's all remember that CB is not open to lose money. It's a business. If Blue is operating at a loss than that's their problem. CB may be angering hardcore skiiers/riders, but you can't fault them for closing after 3 days of record high temps and rain...not to mention it's mid-march.

I feel bad for anyone who bought that March season pass thing. Ouch.

How much damage did this weekend do to the base? I'd imagine CB will be closing much earlier than anticipated.

Ever been to MC on a weekend?!

I heard from ridecamelback.com that they sold out on Sunday?! If you were crazy enough to venture out, how long did the lines get? I checked the webcam one time this weekend and I swear it was difficult to see where the snow was with all the people there. To me that's not fun.

MC sucks! period. Don't be fooled by the trail map. Flat, boring runs and a bunch of people from jersey and NYC. Try out the gondola... I would choose CB any day over MC.

I've been there once after VV/GG got changed to MC. Will never go again. That stupid Cabriolet "gondola" is by far the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Take off all of your equip. after every 2 minute run and hold it while standing up huddled in like cattle...and then you get to walk to where it starts going downhill...only to do it all over again in 2 minutes. What a joke.

I was up there tonight too. I hate weekend crowds so I didn't get up there until ~8:15pm and stayed until closing. No lines and had the trails to myself: exactly what I like. Still freshies to be found on the extreme sides of the trails. Great night!

Wondering if any school will have off this coming Monday the 13th. If you have off, post it!

Alright so I stayed on the highway and got off at exit 299...decided on CB at the last minute. Turned out to be a great day with no liftlines at all (I went alone and never shared a seat on either quads) and okay conditions considering the recent weather.

I've been hearing that you highschoolers have shortened days this week because of midterms...is this all of PA or just select schools?

I was up there last night (10th) for a few hours. It was decent, but not what you would expect for mid January. Have to give CB credit for wall-to-wall snow and zero bare spots, but the loose granular on the sides of trails and hard packed in the middle (hope those skiis/boards are tuned!) made it tough on the legs. It was fast at night though. Definately worth a trip, but don't expect mid winter conditions...

What night do you go to CB during the week? You stay until 9pm right?

Definately! Why on earth would you choose to hit the slopes this week if you have other opportunities?! I can't wait until the holidays are over.

20-25 mins from CB. It's great, sometimes I'll check the cam at 7pm and be on the top of the mtn before 8.

It's either CB or Shawnee (yawn) on friday. I'd rather go at night. Anyone know?
