Judging by the webcam, I'd stay away. Stay till around 11 or 12 and then be thankful you got there early...

So I live close to CB and therefore never go on weekends. Even on weekdays I either go early and leave at 11AM or go at 8PM and stay to last chair. If the 2nd lot is more than half full I will simply turn around and go home. I see all these other lifts sitting idle and I cannot even fathom how crowded the slopes would be with all those lifts running. Hell, the trails can get crowded with only the Sullivan/Stevenson running. Curious what CB is like at peak times...Liftlines, trails, lodge, etc.

Monday night madhouse?

Wow. Awesome late night at CB. Pulled into the lot at 730 and filled up the flask with Jack Daniels...The car said 59 degrees and there was no wind. No jacket, no gloves, no hat. The conditions were loose, great for carving except for the front four blacks were hard wet pack. It was weird being on the snow and sweating like crazy (although the JD kept me warm!) Got on the last chair at 9:59 and the lifties were fevershly trying to keep snow by the lift. GOod night

Tubing: YAWN Anyone remember the clowns that tried to SLED down Zero G at Mountain Creek (Back when it was VV/GG) and DIED?! Hit the fence head on...and yes, they were drunk.

So before I left I checked the webcam and they started up the Sullivan so I went. Got there at 8PM, stayed to last chair. Great conditions, no wind and an empty house. CB like that is awesome.

I'm thinking of hitting CB after work today, getting there around 7PM stay to close. I see the Sullivan is closed (shocked!...ok not really). Will it open when the winds subside? If it ain't I ain't a goin'.

Pulled in at around 1PM, first lot 1st row. No one in line to buy tickets and no one in line at the quad. Had the sully all to ourselves all day. Even overheard the yellowjackets talking to the lifties "We get paid for this?!" Not even a 1 chair wait the entire time. Good soft conditions, but still fast. We were amazed at how much snow they have this early. Probably going back next week, hope it's as quiet!

doesnt sound like fun, however telling someone to "take the first shot" is stupid. Nothing like getting laid out in front of your girl while trying to sound tough. Plus you never know what anyone has/knows.

I was there last wednesday and for having it be ~70 degrees it was awesome. Snow conditions were excellent considering. Lots of negativity on this board.

are they f^cking serious?! The whole idea behind skiing/riding is the freedom to do what you want. Speeding?! If that became the norm I would sell all my equipment that day. What a joke

No night skiing tonight... This season just keeps getting worse, and with the east side of the mountain not opening this season I may be done with CB for the year already. Forecasted 72 degrees tomorrow in Jersey, and if the sun comes out they are saying mid 70's!!! Quote from accuweather: "The East Coast will enjoy a surge of springlike warmth on Saturday, creating what will likely be one of the mildest January weekend days in decades. "

No cold in sight, rain and fog today. It's almost January...will they ever have Nile open this year?! Maybe it'll be like Pipeline at MC: only open for ~1 week per year. Ughh.

This really is the worst I can remember. I was going to get a new board, but no way now. The season is approaching January already. It's January, short February and closing in March. Forget it!

I really hope it doesn't happen. I can leave my door and be on the lift in under an hour, so I obviously don't want more places for the "tourists" to stay cuz it will = more people. I've been skiing and riding at CB for 10+ years and every year it gets more crowded. Any more and I'll hang up my skiis/board for good.

That stupid gondola is the reason that I never go to MC anymore. What a dumb idea. At Tremblant they have the same thing to get you from the lot to the hill. It goes over some of the village area including the spas, etc. It's nice, unlike MC.
