  2. I have 2-3 vouchers that are good for Pico Mountain. I can't use them since I had ACL reconstruction on Friday. They are good for this season. Let me know if anyone is interested? Thanks
  3. I am pretty comfortable with any trail in Poconos that don't have bumps. Elevator at Jack Frost and White lightning at Sno would get my vote. I have not skied the glades. Would be interested in everyones opinion. My ACL is scheduled for Jan. 20th so I should be good to go for the start of next season.
  4. Bummed I can't ski this year but always looking for a good deal for everyone else. check cbs Philly local deals. Cool thing about these tickets are they are good on holidays. http://offers.cbslocal.com/deal/5005/60-dollars-ski-pass-to-sno-mountain-only-25-dollars/philadelphia Go support Sno.

    Hurt Knee

Well i got the bad news today. My season is over before it even started. I ruptured my ACL, might have strained my mcl and might have a tear in my lateral miniscus. Going to be a depressing winter.

    Hurt Knee

Thanks for the positive thoughts. Still waiting on an MRI. So frustrated not knowing what I need to do to feel better and hopefully ski this year.

    Hurt Knee

I injured my knee playing in a faculty/parent basketball game at work. I am so bummed and afraid that I might not ski this year. I am waiting on an MRI to find out what happened. Hoping it is just a sprain or at worst Meniscus with 4-6 week recovery. I bought a bunch of discount tickets online. If my season is over I would like to sell these tickets to anyone interested. I have 3 jack Frost tickets $25 each. I bought camelback triple play ($99) not sure if transferrable and 1 ticket for Pico Vermont $39.
  8. Just bought a one day lift ticket at Pico Vermont for $39. Deal ends at 11:59 tonight. http://www.picomountain.com/winter/tickets_and_passes/p-39
  9. Can't beat $25 lift tickets. We go up sunday mornings and have the mountain to ourselves. I am not an expert skier but find the trail called the elevator to be one of the most challenging trails in the poconos. Will probably buy 5 passes here. 3 at camelback for $99. Hope Sno does this $25 deal. Try to hit Elk at least once. And then ski vermont at least once. http://offers.cbslocal.com/coupon/6731
  10. Just looking at prices. I usually go to ski bum in concord. But their lease program was more expensive. SA was 90 books for the season. Snow monster costs $85 with rental . $75 without. If I get him 3 snow monster days it might be a good season for a little guy. But if I lease and he can handle it he could get 6-8 times at the mountain.
  11. I got my son to both Jack Frost and BIg Boulder for the snow monster program last year and he loved it. I am thinking about leasing skis for the season from Sports authority. I figure i will get him two more lessons through snow monsters early season and then he skis for free every time I purchase a lift ticket at most mountains in the pocs. If we get a snow storm at home I can bring him to a hill and let him practice if we have the skis. Sound like a good plan or am i better off just renting at the mountain and getting him 3 lessons this year. He will still be able to ski free next year since he wont turn 6 until after next ski season.
  12. I got hammered on a trail at Shawnee a few years ago. We went down a green or blue to warm up our legs. It wasn't groomed. And the guns were shooting in our face. It had big snow drifts in the trail. It was horrible.
  13. Sorry If this is a dumb question. Can this pass be used on weekends after Feb 21st?
  14. I love going to Sno. We have taken advantage of the cbs deals and got lift tickets for $25. Usually get their for first lift on Sunday morning. I enjoy the two black Diamonds Smoke and Boomer. Have never done White Lightning ( I need to learn to ski the bumps). Lifts are real slow and the Long haul lift is never running. If long haul was open the combo of Upper Fast track and Lower Fast track is one of the longer trails in Poconos.

Lift lines were long but I kept thinking How worth the wait it was to be getting a bonus ski day this late in the season.

Great day at Camelback and a great way to end my ski season. This was my 14th day out. With Cbs deals at Jack Frost and Sno, and the late season rate at BB at CB I only paid full price 4 times this year. First hour was great we got 10 runs in before the crowds arrived. Hit a green to blue trail to warm up then a Run on Pharaoh and then Cliff hanger twice. Conditions were great. We went over to Asp, Hump, Marjorie and Rocket. Rocket had great snow and I thought was the best trail of the day. The rest of the day was spent standing in line and then hitting every trail possible. Took a soft fall on the mogul trail lower Cleopatra and another fall on Asp I hit an Ice patch as the new snow was being pushed into soft moguls. Ended the day and season with a fun run on Cliff Hanger. Thought I saw a large group of skiers who might have been forum members. Anyone else there?
  17. I went to Stratton this year and thought it was a cool mountain. Bromley is 10 miles away and Okemo is pretty close. You could hit three different Mountains. We went to Stratton Day 1 and planned on Bromley Day 2 but it rained so we drove an hour and a half south to Jimminy Peak which I thought was a pretty cool mountain.
  18. Great Conditions at Boulder today. My first time there. My 3 year old had a fun time with the snow monsters. Staff was great and so nice to the kids. My niece from Oregon skied for the first time today and had a blast after a rough start. She did not want a lesson but after the first hour of struggling I forced her to get one and it saved her day.
  19. Going to Boulder tomorrow. High of 46. I have never skied this late in season and not sure what to wear. Does everyone still wear ski pants and then wear sweatshirt, Long sleeve T? Thanks, Craig
  20. I have a few ski passes left but can't make it up again until march 19 or 20th. I was hoping to bring my 3 year old to snow monster alley as well. Thanks
