There's like 7 features right now because of the lack of snow but they literally set them up so staggered down the mountain you can't hit a consistant lin or flow through I line without having to cut across 50 percent of the trail.
-
Here's my gripe about bear. The lines through the park are retarted. It does not flow at all.
-
Blue also is a little bit colder. Trust me I want bear full swing just as much as anyone else, but they haven't really had the weather for it. Could they have opened earlier? Probably. The long range wasn't there for them yet this year. Patience. We need all need to learn to be patient. The weather will come. And for christ sake, it's southeastern pa were talking about, we should be happy were riding anything before Christmas.

Only the back bowls are open, but there's a high avalanche risk
-
That explains why they're so long

You are correct.

Yes they do, they still have alot piled up in places. It's a ghost town here though so might as well close up, save money and base,
-
Beautiful day out for sure. Hoping it gets cold quick though
-
Straight up slush today. They're gonna close until at least friday. Makes sense to with the rain tomorrow.
-
Not worth it imo. Then again I had it at the taco bell in rutland aka rutvegas so that might be why it sucked
-
Not a bad day, park setup is fun for an hour. Snow was sweet and low.
-
Guns are on. Hopefully they can really pound the mountain whIle they have the chance. And yes doug, we know blue is open, bear creek sucks, hope they'll open before February, shaking my herman, rack it, pure gold, etc.
-
It's nice that they have that set up, I'm considering going tomorrow for a little bit, but I feel like it's going to be jam packed with people. Actually, they had a early season hike park on the lower half of black bear around 2 or 3 years ago I think.
-
It's not. They could have opened at least a week ago with a few trails. Instead they try to be open 100% the first day. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they didn't open till after the 12th. They've been dragging their feet. Yes the weather this past week has been shitty but they did not take advantage of the snowmaking weather when they had it. I haven't bought my pass yet and after how the past few years have gone, I might just go with the college pass from jfbb for the same price. Only reason I get a pass there is because it's 10 minutes door to door and doesn't take out a huge chunk of my day if I want to ride. Oh, that and they still have weddings going on right now sooooo......
-
Awesome. Everything was left ungroomed and absolutley no lines or anyone else there. At all. Absolute ghost town
-
I was talking about bear creek could have opened this weekend.
-
I haven't bought mine yet...... But all signs lead to them opening tuesday which is stupid. I'd be surprised if they even sell 50 tickets. It's kind of redicuLois that ski patrol is getting emails saying the 2nd, yet when you call bear they just say "sometime this week"
-
Couldve been open friday. Surprised frost isn't open yet
-
Per a ski patrol friend, bear will be opening on tuesday
-
Wasn't sure. IIt'd be nice if they had it open next weekend
-
Is the valley opening dependent on the construction being finished?
-
I was tossing around the idea of heading up later today but not for the $50 price tag. I'll wait till more is open.
