  1. You have to expect that on a day where it's bluebird during the day, then gets down in the single digits at night. I didn't think it was too bad at night, a few of the more popular features were scrapped off but other than that there was plenty of good snow to be had.
  2. I'm just confused as to how he thought the snow was sketchy at best? I was there from 11am to 3 and then 6 to 9 and it was fantastic. Yes, it got a little hard and crunchy in some spots as night but it was not bad at all.
  3. What snow were you riding?
  4. One bust, second storm called for over a foot, got a few inches, hopefully this one will call for x amount of snow and we'll get x amount of snow.
  5. I'm 5'5 on a good day, so they wouldn't be too bad for me. And toast, I don't have any kids....I think.
  6. Local bar is giving away a pair of 166 lib tech nas' with pbr graphics. Wouldn't be a bad ski to win.
  7. I wasn't complaining, just jamming the friday night crowd down lower cascade/half of lower blackbear is going to be dicey as half those people wouldn't know what in control was if it smacked them in the face, but you also don't want to create twice the work since before and after those features for the comp will get blown out by Tom dick and Harry "airing" off the lip and thus eating shit. Anyway, cascade was like half built last night. It's a fun setup, BUT it was built for snowboarders imo. Superman box is back out. It'd be nice to see the 40 foot rail in blackbear setup as a flat rail like it was last year, or even slightly up.
  8. Not a bad idea, it's gonna suck friday Night though with that section being closed.
  9. Switching the jam from lower cascade to lower black bear?
  10. I'll be up tonight for a little bit. Not sure if I'll be on skis or my board, depends on how icy it is
  11. Superbowl sunday is always a madhouse.
  12. Agreed, but I can see where they're coming from with it. The place is a ghost town after 8pm. Got a pair of skis a few days ago so picked that back up. Mostly park but by day 3 it was like I've been skiing for A while. Learned to hit most rails, come out switch etc etc. Started to learn 270 out last night but ran out of time before I could fully get it spinning on skis off a rail is way easier than on a snowboard
  13. Debabting giving this a try haha. Ripping gates on a 145 rockered park board with dull edges would make things interesting
  14. Bear creek claiming 4 inches on their facebook, I think they used jfbb's ruler
  15. Allentown easton Bethlehem, you know what I meant anyway
  16. Looks like AEB area is only going to see around 3 inches now. The storm seems to have stayed more east
  17. Starting to accumulate a little on the roads here in kutztown. Mostly a dusting at the Moment but it's a start.
  18. Went up for a few runs tonight. The jump is cascade is real fun. Snow was kinda slow, but cascade flows real nice. Im digging the new rail they put out which is like a smaller sized candy cane raIL. The up cannon to corrugated tube to hip? Is pretty cool as well.
  19. Shovel, beacon, and float backpack are required to get on any lift. High avalanche risk thursday esepcaially in yhe bowls.
  20. Yessssss. Thanks man!
  21. New setup is pretty fun. The snow was slow as fuck today so it was hard to really get speed, might just be me though. Good day to take out the dslr and steady/glide cam.
  22. Actually, up flat bar (the one without skirting) to staircase so you can either gap the stairs or hit the rail to press down the stairs. Even mailbox to stairs would be cool.
