Looks like they got a nice amount of snow down so far compared to yesterday. If they can keep blowing all night and most of the day tomorrow they should have some really good coverage.
I was up there for a bit . Its a line of a few boxes and rails. Kind of fun. Hiked for a bit and took a few runs then it got pretty crowded. Lot more people then I thought there would be.
Guy I talked to said they are going to try and blow all night tonight and all day and night tomorrow. Should be pretty nice coverage by Thrusday.
BC isn't big enough to only open with 1 or 2 trails. They have done it in the past and it was horrible and dangerous.
The weather for them just hasn't coperated and it will probably be another week or so before they can open. Oh well, plenty of other places are open already or opening this weekend.
I've been in them. You aren't going to accidentally ski or tumble into them. You have to hike into them. Once inside, sure you could fall...but at that point you know the risks.
Probably the same one. But like I said you can't just tumble in. You have to hike into them and climb around like these dumb kids were doing. Its not like you are just walking along and all of a sudden you slip into a 100ft hole or anything.
The rescue was in 2010. Stupid kids exploring a mineshaft, probably drunk at like 2am.
Whatever, its not like you could ride into the mine shaft(s) or anything or acidentally fall in. You have to hike into them.
I'm up at BC most Thursday afternoon and nights and almost always spend some time in the bar. I'll definitely hook you up with some beer for putting this together again.
