  1. With a rack on a Cayman you could get 2 people in the car, 1 in the front truck, 1 in the hatch, and 1 on the roof. Not ideal but it could work. The Audi SQ5 would be another fun option for a bit less.
  2. And? Porsche makes excellent cars...and their SUVs are no different. It is by far the best on road SUV as far as driving dynamics go and it does plenty well off road. I've owned two and have plenty of seat time in every other SUV in the class. The GLK was released along side and was in the Sex in the City movie. It is built on the C Class platform...it is basically a small lifted C class wagon for soccer moms who need to drive on the grass or gravel driveway occasionally. Sold the Lotus a while back as I just don't have time to track it anymore. Been driving a TTS the past couple years.
  3. The Supercharged ones are no joke.
  4. Uh no, Cayennes are great on and off road. And get the hell out of here with the sex in the city GLK...lol.
  5. Cayenne...if you don't care about price.
  6. Bear Creek and I just grabbed a 15 day direct to lift pass for Whistler.
  7. Do you need me to explain irony to you?
  8. I agree. Pretty much for me the most fun I'm going to have at any of the local mountains is in the park unless it is an epic snow day where it is possible to pop off trail a bit or if the trails develop some natural features. Other people enjoy it but lapping groomed out 30 sec / 1 minute runs just isn't for me no matter what the terrain is. Even at large mountains the first thing I'm looking for on any run is a way to get off the trail, it is just what I prefer to ride.
  9. Yeah, grooming has improved from bad to mediocre. *grooming skills level 2 achievement unlocked*
  10. Now if they could just work on their park and grooming skills.
  11. Couple guys I usually ride with used to be members here but they haven't posted in years.
  12. I don't think it would be possible for me to care less about how much vert I ride in PA lol. I'm able to ride longer and hit more features at BC than Blue on a typical weekend. A few times a season I bomb down Sasquatch or Extreme if there is fresh snow or perfect cord, Timberline used to be more fun but is kind of boring now unless it is setup as park like late last season. Outside of that I just lap the parks on Cascade and Black Bear. I'd be pretty damned bored just lapping trails at BC, Blue, or any mountain around here unless it was a pow day.
  13. The only runs at Blue that I routinely enjoy outside of Sidewinder are Razors and Switchback. Nightmare and Dreamweaver are annoying because you have to finish up on Paradise. Challenger is OK for steep but kind of boring after a lap or two. Biggest issue with Blue are the snow and crowds...especially on weekends. At BC I can usually session from open till about 1pm on a weekend before the line ups get out of hand and the park becomes gaper central. Blue is about 1/2 of that before the 6 pack line up is out of control and the trails are too crowded to be fun. And typically if I'm going to be driving passed BC I'd rather shoot up to Boulder for a much better park.
  14. Longer sure, but there isn't anything all that interesting at either mountain from a terrain standpoint IMO unless we get hammered with snow. I can have just as much fun at both. I typically just lap the park anyway unless I go to bigger mountains in VT or out west so in that aspect BC is usually better. To me, there really isn't anything at Blue to justify the longer drive, more expensive pass, worse snow, and stupid crowds. I still get up there a few times a year though.
  15. Neither BC or Blue have good terrain.
  16. Good snow, good park, good bar, no GSS...sounds like a hell of bargain for $380.
  17. Earlybird prices are out, end date is 11/11/14: Unlimited: $380 Youth (6-21): $325 Offpeak: $290 M-F open to close Weekends after 4pm Value pass: $175 M-Thur open to close
  18. I agree. First jump was great Sat morning. But even with the fast snow it was difficult to hit the second jump in a line.
  19. Yep considerable warnings levels are when most shit happens. You get a lot of people heading out as soon as the level drops below high trying to grab fresh tracks. That shit isn't for me. Safety is number one with our group, if we get out there and the conditions don't pan out for some fun BC touring there is plenty of other terrain (and bars and Australian girls) in Whistler to keep us happy. Last time we were there we had one good day of touring and then it just wouldn't stop snowing so we just rode in bounds and had probably the best riding week of my life.
  20. Yeah I've done the Powder Mountain cats before it is an insanely good time with basically unlimited powder even days after storms. Nothing douchey about warning anyone about BC dangers. The group of us are pretty well versed in BC safety and snow pack / conditions, we have done multiple cat and heli BC trips together. We plan to guide up for the most part when we venture out there anyway. We'll probably do a little side country by ourselves but we stick to safer / well known routes when we do that.
  21. Yep stayed at Creekside a couple times. Favorite place to stay out there. You get a rice run down to the lifts every morning before everything opens which is awesome if it snowed at night. And little to no line up at the creekside gondola so you can get to the top quickly. Shuttle runs from the Village as well so any after riding activities will not involve driving.
  22. Its Whistler in March it will probably rain every day at the base. And I'd love some dry bluebird days.
  23. Heading out on the 26th until the 8th. They have been getting hammered with snow lately with more in the forecast so conditions should be great. Scored a hell of a deal on a ski in / ski out condo by the creekside gondola. Current plan is 7 days riding in and around W / BC and 2 days of snowcat riding at Powder Mountain Catskiing. http://powdermountaincatskiing.com Contemplating dropping a couple days of riding at W / BC and making a run over for 2 days at Revelstoke but that will depend on the weather. That drive sucks if its snowing. Waiting on UPS to deliver my new beacon and shovel for some legit (real legit not GSS 20min powder day legit) backcountry riding. Trip should be all time.
  24. Going to be insane up there this weekend with all this snow and the holiday.
