  1. Snowing pretty hard here...probably about an inch on the ground already. Web cams at BC and Blue show some pretty nice snow fall as well.
  2. Fries are still epic.
  3. Snow was probably better than Blue's...oh snap! Did you enjoy your 45 minutes of skiing this weekend?
  4. End up with about 6in in the yard. Busted out the skate rail and did some backyard jib honking. Lots of fun for a surprise storm.
  5. Sounds like a less steep, lift serviced version of Silverton. Might have to check it out.
  6. You need to get some orange gear to complete the ROYGBIV theme you got going on.
  7. Why you planning on coming to BC? They have plenty of snow to be open this weekend.
  8. It would be a cool feature to have angled down the hill instead of perpendicular like it is now. Build a lip so you can either slide the face of the wall or pop up and slide the top. Similar to this:
  9. Both of my comments were in jest.
  10. So you are saying you like the cock?
  11. Only got to ride for about an hour and half yesterday afternoon but the snow was great and is holding up well to the warm weather so far.
  12. I'll give you credit for keeping your response under 500 words. Although a dissertation on the history of different ways one could go about fucking themselves might make for an interesting read.
  13. That's a lot of words to say they blow / blew shitty snow.
  14. They technically were open earlier with a hike park serviced by the magic carpet a few years back but this was their earliest full opening.
  15. Snow was surprisingly good in the morning especially on Cascade.
  16. Possibly, wasn't really on the look out for anyone.
  17. Decided to do a small mountain tour of local hills this weekend (Blue, Boulder, and BC) instead of heading up to VT because a few friends couldn't make the trip. Started with Blue on Friday. Checked out the new sign and pulled into the lot around 8:35ish. There was already a pretty decent line up for tickets but it was moving pretty quick. We got out on to the snow by around 9:15 or so. Speaking of snow, it was pretty bad in spots and only got marginally better as the day went along. At the time it was fine because hey its early in the year but after riding Boulder and BC the following days it really showed how poor the snow was. Park was fun with some interesting features and didn't start to get crowded out until around 11 or so. Lift lines were a pain in the ass though. One of my friends passes would only scan every other run or so. Ended the day with a few beers before leaving at around 12:30. Overall not a bad opening day for Blue. Saturday it was time to hit up Boulder. Got there around 8:30 with the same group of guys. Booted up and were on the hill by 9:00. Surprising it was pretty empty which made for some really fun park laps. Park setup was the best I have seen this early in the year with a solid selection of features. Snow was good which was a nice change from the previous day. A little surprised that they don't have more terrain open but it looks like they should be able to open more soon if they get a few more days of blowing. Lift lines started to get long around 11 or so. Did a few more runs and called it a day at noon. Sunday was opening day at BC. Got up there at 7:45 to grab passes and beat the line up. Got a new glamour shot for my pass and ended up grabbing 5th or 6th chair up. Morning snow was the best of the weekend. Seriously, Blue should take some lessons from BC on how to make snow...it was that much better. Morning runs down Cascade with man made pow turns on skiers right were the best I remember from any opening day at BC. Park setup was decent. Wall ride / Stall shouldn't be setup directly across the trail like it is and the new rainbow rail, while fun, could use some flashing under it. Saw a few very close calls with the support bar at the end. Crowds were pretty heavy by noon and park was getting sketchy with the traffic so called it day and killed a couple of pitchers in the Grille. Over all great weekend of riding for early December and hopefully a good indication of a great season to come.
  18. I thought you said you would be there?
  19. Last time I was there two years ago it wasn't that bad. It definitely does clear out after the apres crowd heads in after like 6 or 7 though. It is kind of weird to ride up the sunshine express lift and see a bunch of crazy expensive homes that all like 90% empty. Midnight drunk gondola rides are a great way to end the night lol.
  20. Sweet, can't beat that. The village is pretty cool especially right after the mountain closes and town is just a gondola ride away for a more local vibe. If they have the snow for it and you don't mind hiking a bit check out the gold hill chutes.
  21. Nice. You staying in town or mountain village?
  22. I got there at 6:45 and it was still surprisingly empty. Short wait at the lift but not crowded on the trail at all. Not bad for Nov 14th.
  23. Next weekend or black friday is more realistic but it would be pretty nice to get some local snow time this early. Its been a few years since we had anything in the area open this early in the season.
